my work place is secured XD

got cantik parking.

the thing now is im considering in getting either

zx6r 2011-2012 RM40k+-

or

mt09 2015 also RM40k+-

both will be used.

not sure how i should make this decision to side which more, really wanting an sport bike but the 6 years old bike might be a problem.

You are comparing 2 different class of bikes. Also, there's nothing wrong with 6 years old japs pure supersport. You just need to maintain it. My R1 is 06 model and clocked about 44k km already. Real kuda tua but never far performance from 2016 liter bikes.

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jan 18 2017, 04:20 PM)
How about the unestablished brands? Lol I'm wondering whether it will achieve the same wished standards.

Any non PRC model is ok. Look for adjustable and p&p type

Of course possible brah..me riding zx636 daily commute:

1) Previously from my OLD HOUSE - one-way 20km daily....
15% federal route, 85% ELITE highway....average speed 120-150km/h...
take around 10-15 minutes to reach home/office depending on traffic or weather condition...
i still can afford to comeback home for lunch time with ma wife or some "quickie" if i want to brows.gif ...
Full tank around RM25-RM30 can last 200-230km (4 days) depending on my riding style...
monthly travel distance around 800-900km...so every 5-6 months send for service...tyre bridgestone s21 can last for a year...

2) Now from NEW HOUSE - one-way 40km daily....
70% federal route, 30% GUTHRIE highway....average speed 80-100km/h...only highway can blast 200+...
take around 25-30 minutes to reach home/office depending on traffic or weather condition...now no more"quickie" during lunch cry.gif
Full tank around RM25-RM30 can last 2-3 days depending on my riding style...
monthly travel distance around 1700-1800km...so every 2-3 months need to send for service...same tyre can only last 6-7 months...
Now start thinking to get an FZ150 as a workhorse... laugh.gif

Mt09 if you have plan to join long distance riding with your buddy...
Max i can ride my ZX636 is one hour then have to rest or stop for awhile...otherwise my back will feel very uncomfortable and hands will start to numb and shaky...

QUOTE(deathbat87 @ Jan 18 2017, 04:36 PM)
if mt09 going to be your work horse everyday maybe there is no big issue, but if zx6 then not too convenient. stuck in traffic will make you regret to buy that zx6 as your work horse.

Jam? Redah only. Fold the side mirrors in and it's even slimmer than my Z8 last time. Lighter as well.

I ride even when it rains. The only time I don't is if there's a thunderstorm.

Most would say get a kapchai to commute on. Yes, this would be the sensible thing to do. But the thing is, if you do this you'd tend to neglect the sbk. Renew road tax? Maybe later since the kapchai is available. Service? New tyre? no need since i don't ride it. I've seen this happen many times.

Only having one bike forces you to actually ride it. Yes, commuting on an sbk sometimes suck. But I always look forward to the weekend where I can hit the twisties where it belongs. Rince and repeat.

so u mostly ride your sbk allday la biggrin.gif

when i filter with my duke 390, i seldom turn left or right between cars also. only straight also.

but maybe the thing is the position that ppl feel not so nice compared to naked

of coz.. hehe

with naked, u are like leaning backwards a bit, less strain.

bike-wise, most naked bikes their headlamps and signals turn along with the fork, so it's easier to maneuver when filtering. smile.gif

for 2 years straight, rode my blade250R home-work-home 60km daily. The riding position is nowhere near as comfy as 2005s and above sportbikes. Clocked 60k kms. Now moto-sadai sudah. Changed work place and riding scooter for a mere 24km daily. lols..

point is, if you can take it, then go for it. But, bear in mind, your bike will clock higher mileage than similar bikes as yours since you will be using it daily. And dont ever think of resale value. Sportbikes are the quickest to drop.
