QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 16 2016, 03:55 PM) hahah I know what u did there.. what i did here is simply instilling public awareness of how would a bank approach an individual vs a prominent public figure for example you know who, when it comes to income declared as donation.it's your choice what u want to write. later only think if BNM or LHDN come knocking your doors whereas, what you did there is stating a whole lot of assumptions that bears no significant whatsoever for your time spent or whoever reads it. |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Oct 17 2016, 10:15 AM) I can confirm that one-day placement of >10k (12 months) under the new GIA promo will still get interest (3.6%). Placed one yesterday and withdrew today. what happened to 4.1% (effective) promo? if still valid why never use it.Have not tried for <10k, shouldn't be any difference except you won't get the step-up in later months? Now gonna have to split my GIA amount to 2, one to keep 12 months and one to roll when got bills coming... |

i want to highlight some not so professional practice of GIA:
1. no clearly printed document name specifically. (at least put investment cert or FD) 2. no clearly printed promotion. (at least mention Campaign or normal GIA) 3. no clearly printed rates. (you dont even know how much the interest rate by looking at it) without these, you don't have any legal rights over the bank. The bank has the upper hand when it comes to dispute. |
