QUOTE(azhar75 @ Aug 15 2016, 12:54 PM) Very infamous issue/bugs in MIUI. The Dev tries to save the battery to the max until incoming push notifications are totally blocked. added as in FAQYou need to: 1) Lock the app in the background. To do this, tap recent/background app capacitive icon > long-tap or slide down WhatsApp (for MIUI 7) > tap the Lock icon (for MIUI 8 only) 2) Goto Settings > Battery & Performance > Manage app battery usage > Choose apps > tap WhatsApp > No restrictions. I hope TS will put this info in the 1st page. QUOTE(No Reason @ Aug 29 2016, 09:58 AM) luckily, not that. miui surely have weird way to let user to unlock..why don't they let it like sony's way..just enter serial and unlock only im stuck at 50%, had to flash China dev rom just to get it unlock, cant flash twrp, my adb not working, then getting lost on how to flash twrp, got twrp, supersu, then xposed not working. in short, steps to getting it done was a bit messy, not as per usual way when doing other android devices. almosy give up halfway lol anyway, miui had a wierd way in grouping its setting. all native apps setting grouped in one place, they put security in separated app, battery saver in security app etc makesure you're using flashtool drivers with 64bit, i found out last time mine failed to flash due to outdated flashtool This post has been edited by GameSky: Aug 29 2016, 10:26 AM |

there are 2 way to unlock bootloader
official way - painfully f**king xiaomi need to synchronize your devices if you have more than 1 mi devices in your account (up to 24hrs) - wait for approval code if your account doesn't have enough permission. AFAIK if you "spammed" in miui forum until gold member status, your account is automatically got the permission (mine doesnt need the sms last time) - safer. unofficial way - faster - high chance to brick - need to use alka or cofface twrp to flash miui roms This post has been edited by GameSky: Aug 29 2016, 10:34 AM |

QUOTE(GameSky @ Aug 29 2016, 09:26 AM) - Go to Security app in your phone, tap on Permissions->Startup - Then, go to Battery->App battery saver, and tap on whatsapp/or other messaging apps, set to "No Restrictions". - If those fails, uninstall your whatsapp, and reinstall normally will usually fix the message not coming when screen is off.. QUOTE(azhar75 @ Aug 29 2016, 09:26 AM) QUOTE(cougar richard @ Aug 29 2016, 09:54 AM) One more step thanksGo to Whatsapp app itself -> Tap on 3 dot on top right corner -> Notifications -> Popup notification -> Select "Always show popup". |

I prefer Meizu's way to root, just create dummy email and register to their cloud service...
