official miui?

I'd recommend to unlock bootloader officially, flash twrp and flash miui eu build instead...way better than official miui rom nod.gif

Quick question, my bootloader's already unlocked officially
I'm using latest global dev rom now, and I wanna go back to global stable rom
If I were to use edl method to flash global stable rom, will it RELOCK my bootloader?

Hooraayyyyy... The PITA has ended....

No need edl method, just FASTBOOT method will do...Fastboot does not re-lock bootloader...

Backup first and inside MiFlash Tool, use "Clean all/Flash all" mode at the bottom-right corner of the tool...This mode will totally wipe EVERYTHING...including the China recovery file...so, we will get 100% Global ROM in the end...the great news is the device remains Unlock Bootloader...

Yeah, edl if bootloader still locked, fastboot method it is
Just worried if I use twrp to flash global rom zip, I might relock my bootloader like last time (back then was trying to go back to miui from cm13)

Don't flash TWRP permanently... Flash it temporarily will do...

type
CODE
fastboot boot recovery.img
and press Enter if you want to use the recovery without flashing it...

More info

We need the stock Global Recovery for future OTA...

Well, there is another method to root using the .BAT file. But that one is a bit tricky coz need to "cook" boot.img file...

Root using BAT Method (Guaranteed safe and work flawlessly):

flashing via edl might relock your bootloader.

to check if your bootloader is locked, simply boot to fastboot and type

CODE
fastboot oem device-info

if unlocked : false, means bootloader locked.

To find your IMEI number, type *#06# on the phone keyboard...what you see...?

I googled around and apparently it's because of non active radio issue. Dialed *#*#4636#*#* to check sim network and now it's magically connecting again. Got me worried earlier since I left it charging for almost an hour and still not getting any signal.

Mine is imported AP. Urs ori Malaysia unit. That's the quickest method to verify whether one has purchased ori Malaysia or imported AP.

Oh well, so long as you know the risk of unofficial unlock bootloader, you are fine...
