Guys, what's the best TWRP version for redmi note 3?
Read the description, and apparently older ones no need to modify bootloader or something?

Already done that, just that there's a bunch of twrp version floating around on xda not sure which one to pick
Alka on what version now? What's the main difference with normal twrp?

Well that's blazing fast, mine took a week

I've been using the unofficial method for quite a while since the bootloader got relocked last time I tried to go back to miui rom.
Since i didn't wanna wait again for another month for unlock request, i just used unofficial method instead.
And be sure to use specific twrp based on your bootloader condition to avoid another relocked BL like mine

Guys, so I just started using the latest global dev rom and I'm already getting battery drain from google play services keep wake (3 hrs+)
What's the best way to solve this?

Anyone successfully unlock on a global dev rom?
I'm too lazy to flash back to china dev rom haha

Now just need to be careful when flashing rom since last time I unlocked officially,
I went from cm13 to miui rom again and my bootloader got reloced.

Btw, where's the root setting in the security app? I don't see it there on latest dev rom

There's usually option to root under the security option once bootloader unlocked

If I were to use edl method to flash global stable rom, will it RELOCK my bootloader?

Yeah, edl if bootloader still locked, fastboot method it is
Just worried if I use twrp to flash global rom zip, I might relock my bootloader like last time (back then was trying to go back to miui from cm13)

I just used fasboot method and now I can't get signal from my sim
Anyway to fix this?

I googled around and apparently it's because of non active radio issue. Dialed *#*#4636#*#* to check sim network and now it's magically connecting again. Got me worried earlier since I left it charging for almost an hour and still not getting any signal.

It relocked my bootloader, looks like it's unofficial method again to unlock bl.

At least until my account can unlock officially for the next 30 days
I'm starting to really hate their official unlock method

Btw, if unlock method fails, like stuck at 50% or something
Does that mean your unlock turn is used up and need to wait for another month?

I spoke too son,
After a normal restart, I've got no signal issues again
Checking the imei, same imei on both Sims and no MEID unlike before
That fastboot method to global ROM screwed up my imei or something. Gonna try updating to latest global ROM or going back to dev ROM.

I've tried unlock using global stable and global dev Rom and surprisingly both work fine without any issues
