i can't unlock my bootloader because it says not cannot verify my device. Anyone know how to contact xiaomi to get them fix this issue? Lots of people posting the problem in miui forum but no solution

I flashed China developer ROM and bootloader works like charm. Bootloader unlocking issues usually occurs on Global ROM.

i want to root the phone. BTW, i thought need to unlock bootloader to flash to other ROM?

max for me only 7 hours.i'm a very very heavy user. LTE at day, Wifi at night.
Whatsapp/instagram/web surfing/music listening all day.plus some downloads sometime.
i'm very happy now,i dont think i'll replace this phone/rom anytime soon.anything that can accompany me and my usage all day without the needs of a charger is what i'm looking for hehe

Nice. I'm mid to heavy. I can get around 7 to 8 sot too. But I usually charge once it goes below 50% n charge till 97% haha.

I've unlocked 3 Xiaomis already. All on 1st attempt. Ensure:

1) Backup all data.
2) Flash to China Dev ROM. Prefer to use "Download"/"EDL" method.
3) To have received SMS from Xiaomi.
4) Log-in to : i.mi.com . Ensure the web can locate your phone. Just use the "Alarm" function to check that Xiaomi server is able to send the "Alarm" command directly to your phone. Hence, you have to turn on the GPS. Keep the browser active before goto Step 5.
5) Unlock using the tool.

You need custom recovery for CM13 and you need to unlock bootloader to flash custom recovery.
