its not optical zoom la.
all digital, can do it on photoshop and get same effect.

How to know whether the k800 that i buy is ap or original...who knows the seller might lie to me....can you guys teach me how to check the genuine set?

I just flashed my K800i to the latest firmware, R1JG001 and it works like a charm, only took a couple of minutes to do so, now my video thumbnails don't crash anymore. Cool but I still don't get what the updated Java engine is supposed to do? Faster framerates for Java games? Sigh ......

The only difference is the thickness of the plastic and the finishing, the fake casings don't come with a SE logo, some do but will fade after a few months if you have sweaty hands. SE spare parts especially the casings are always more pricier than other competing brands so try not to drop your phone by accident, you'll regret doing so.

Yup, digital zoom but photoshop could do it much better with less pixelation. I hope the upcoming 5mp model from SE will have optical zoom.

u upgrade firmware izit ? Last time i did upgrade my firmware then *** cant on . So i went to shop , 240mins time they repair for u . But make sure u tell them that u dunno what happen or maybe no warranty claim or sum'ing.

What was your phone's battery life when you attempted to upgrade your phone's firmware? Was the upgrading process interrupted because of your Streamyx connection? By right, upon dowloading around 40 something %, then the screen will change and it shows updating phone ... blah, blah, blah. I updated four phones today, my K800i / P990i, gf's K618i, my brother's W950i and my mother's K610i, the whole updating process went fine. If yours a Midland set, you have nothing to worry, just bring your phone and let them fix it, it might be an earlier bug in your firmware that caused the new firmware to fail from being successfully flashed on your phone. If yours an AP set, then it might be chargeable as I believe AP companies won't do this free for you if you attempted to download the new firmware yourself.

My phone had about 80% battery. The process failed during the flashing of the phone. But thx god i manage to fix this problem its working great again with the latest firmware. Problem solved.
