These symptoms you guys describe may be attributed to the Chinese Food Syndrome. No kidding. It's a result of too much MSG.

Dunno.......but I can confidently say that its got not much bad stuff other than severely lacking nutrients. Its been part of my diet since i was a kid. I used to take 2 packets as a kid EVERY night. but of course sometimes buang in sayur or egg. Now in my final year in uni and still ok. Hehehe (touchwood)
darklight is right. Chinese cooking uses a lot of MSG since ages ago. Its a tapioca extract or something like that. |

I used to love that shit when i was a kid. And when i say shit, i mean good shit. It still tastes awesome but it's not nutrient dense enough for my bodybuilding purposes yet i can't resist grabbing a packet or 2 sometimes. darklight is right. Chinese cooking uses a lot of MSG since ages ago. Its a tapioca extract or something like that. My current favourite is the Mi Poh Goreng one. Mi Sedap is pretty good as well. |

i think that none of the instant noodles are good for health, that's y i dont eat. but if you really want, there's one brand called 'Koka' it's dry instant noodles. it does not have MSG in it.
or if u want to eat noodles at home, you can buy mee, mee hoon etc in a package and make ur own soup. it's very easy. |

Quite frankly if u know how they actually make instant noodles and the flavouring, u might not want to eat so much of it.

QUOTE(Kameshikarin @ Jan 23 2007, 04:27 PM) What is the best instant noodle to eat that is available in the market. Meggie is popular but I think eating too much of it is not good for your health. The noodle is OK but the main culprit is the MSG seasoning coming with it. I usually throw away the seasoning and make my own like hot pepper, sauce, ketchup etc.. |

The lesser you put, the better. If you don't use it at all, it's the best.
The noodles should be fine if you "clean" them properly. |

Instant noodles contain boric acid that promotes cancer so, try not to eat too much of it.

The Bak Kut Teh instant mee also nice but it's a little expensive. IIRC, it costs RM 3 to 4 per packet.

i think noodles is not too good for everyday meal , it has less nutrious and other vitamin and mineral for our body , try to avoid maggi or junk food at least it can be consume once or twice a week , because i've had a friend who alway ate maggi for dinner and now he's seem to have a hair loss problem ,he consult the doctor and doctor said that maggi contain to many salty and it can cause bad health , but i dont know whether its true or not |

There is no nutrition eating instant noodles cause it is mostly msg. We know that we cant avoid eating them cause the seasoning are tasty. Try to minimise eating it.
