From my perspective, 1060 had a better score in most of general games. Like 70% 1060 has win over rx480 from those benchmarks I saw on google. How about if I save more bucks to get 1070? Or 480 CF? 1060 Sli maybe?
*
if you have the budget to get 1070, why not ? haha, FYI, NVIDIA have removed SLI from 1060, so no 1060 SLI sweat.gif

hi terence, as my friend want to change the chassis to Corsair 400C and he will change the mobo to Z170 Mortar. Is it compatible with all of the hardware stated before ? Ive seen the case, and I'm sure Strix 1070 will fit inside. How about the mobo ? as I'm not sure what is the most proper size mobo that can be put inside the case sweat.gif

Is it possible, with a budget 3.5k to put a rig with i7 and a dedicated GPU that can support Lumion 6 ? Pls include a monitor too, do notify me if it is impossible due to budget constraint sweat.gif

Which brand the store is selling then? Dell & BenQ got?

Dell S2316H - glossy IPS
Dell S2415H - glossy IPS

Glossy screen may create reflection when you are viewing under bright light source (i.e under light bulb).

BenQ EW2440ZH - semi-glossy VA
*
TQVM bro, it just I rarely saw any Acer monitor being displayed at the store, ill ask the shop later biggrin.gif

Try to ask in Audiophiles.

https://forum.lowyat.net/Audiophiles
If you play CS:GO only then you can save more on the GPU, GTX950/RX460 is more than enough and focus more on the CPU part like getting an i7 instead of i5.
*
between GTX950 and RX460, which one is much cheaper ? or they are on the same price, and which one do you recommend ? sweat.gif

Kingston 16GB (8GB x2) DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 322

Acer R241Y - RM 622

Left RM 350+/- for the chassis, not sure which one you prefer so I don't include it in the build list yet, you can make your own choice.
*
haha, it's not for me, just in case she want those eye-pleasing chassis that cost around that price. Right now, she is interested in Asus VX239H which cost around RM800-900, I know it is not worth it as Asus usually overpriced their product a lot. What do you think ? Should I just let her or ask her to get another monitor with the same features with the Asus one but with a cheaper price tag, IF there any sweat.gif

Which feature of VX239H attracted your friend so much? Thin bezel? IPS?
*
Well, both of the features you mentioned does attract her, but I think what attract her the most is the sleek design of the monitor itself, well, if you said that with that budget can get a 27" inch monitor, ill make sure to tell her that, at least she doesnt waste her money on that Asus monitor thumbup.gif , but if she still want that Asus monitor, nothing we can do bout it sweat.gif

Since you mentioned triple A titles, if your cousin really wants to run them at high settings, can consider getting GTX1060/RX470/RX480.
