I'm having issue with OTP/TAC with multiple online services on my OneXOX and I'm fed up with dealing with this issue. Sure, the customer service of OneXOX is helpful but I simply do not have the effort to lodge a complaint here and there to get a simple issue fixed. I'm well aware that this is not OneXOX issue but I simply can't continue using OneXOX service with the issue I'm facing. I'll port out once I finished off my season pass.

I'm still having quite a bit of season pass left in my account so if anyone is interested in buying it from it, drop me a PM.

I am surprised that you have been a XOX user for a year and still having problems with the OTP/TAC. I read quite a few prepaid users having  issues when it comes to receiving OPT/TAC sms, hence why I decided to use my postpaid line for that purpose. I'm sure there is a way or solution to circumvent this problem.
*
Hi,try sms "UPDATE" to 66300 for OTP/TAC problem.

This solved OTP/TAC problem for many Onexox users and hope this will solved yours too.

Hope this will help.

Appreciate your effort but my issue remain unsolved after attempting it. I have previously lodged a complaint to XOX and I believe they have taken similar action and yet remain unresolved. I'll port out once I have exhausted/sold off my season pass.
*
In facts, some Onexox user's OTP/TAC problems are not solved until they port out to other's telco.

Till now i still don't understand why when users port out from Onexox to other telco, the OTP/TAC problems are solved automatically. hmm.gif

Any of current user still experience didn't receive tac issues? Mind to share which bank or service you guys having issue in receiving tac?

I am consider to port in xox due to it long validity but tac is very important for me. I think I won't port in if tac was common issues among current user.
*
Hi,not all Onexox user face the OTP/TAC problems,

some user can receive OTP/TAC immediately after line activated and some user have to wait for 3 days after line activated.

Hope this will help.

how about port out to another celcom mvno like redone, tune talk, yoodo ? so if OTP/TAC problems not fix it means celcom problem not onexox one.
*
QUOTE(zher4883 @ Nov 27 2019, 10:14 AM)
You see, I switched over to OneXOX from TuneTalk. I never had trouble with TuneTalk. The only service provider I had problem is with OneXOX and Yes.
*
Once again.........in my opinion,Onexox should find way to solve not only this OTP/TAC problems but also make improvement to be a BETTER telco provider than other telcos.

If Onexox don't care about losing "SOME" of their users, they can continue to push the OTP/TAC problems to others(Apps, banks and more).

Should focus in how to be better than others in terms of line coverage and data speeds which recently many users are complaining.

Hoping to be Onexox user permanently.........although already port out 2 lines from Onexox due to unsolved OTP/TAC problems.

Hmm .....

1. Again, typical misconception on OTP / TAC problem ...... most of the time this issue is a 3rd party gateway problem where onexox/xox does not have any control ...

2. Better line coverage and speed ? Dream on ... MVNO depends on their principal MNO ... if celcom tower gets borked somewhere and cause congestions then onexox cannot do much and must rely on celcom to fix it .... just like when a fiber cut happened not too long ago in the northen area ... all MVNO was affected then ...

3. I overheard some dealers talking over teh tarik that onexox targets 7 million subs for 2020 ..... I'm thinking that's probably the magic number for xox to become MNO and have their own towers ? .... but then again for a company with NOT a deep pocket I don't think being MNO is possible ..... just the spectrum license will sink them ...

Wake up and face reality ... there is no telco that is able to provide 100% satisfaction guaranteed ...

Onexox is an MVNO that provides reasonably good product at a reasonably good price and able to cater for low-to-mid  usage consumers. Their black product is quite competitive with unlimited calls and data buffet up-to 100GB ...

The otp / tac is a 3rd party gateway issue. As zher 4883 already pointed out that onexox is not to be blamed .... but then again ... the general public is fickle minded and most doesn't like to read long paragraphs and wouldn't want to understand the real issue .... and the vicious cycle repeats itself ....

Well explained regarding the OTP/TAC there. It really irons out a lot of misconceptions users have and constantly blaming the telco's. 👍✌
*
Hmmmmm.........why many OTP/TAC problems solved automatically when port out to other telco ?

2 of my Onexox lines with OTP/TAC problems really solved after port out from Onexox instantly with Unifi mobile & RedOne(Maybe not affected by 3rd party

gateway as Onexox does).........yeah..... maybe......who knows......

I just hope for the better service not 100% satisfaction guaranteed.........did i mention 100 % ?

Did the dealers mentioning any users complaining about coverage and data speed lately over teh tarik ? No........this should not be mention.....openly

yor are onexox dealer yourself
you should report at onexox dealer only channel.

It doesn't matter if i'm a Onexox dealer or other telco's dealer or i'm just a user, i think we should help users, regardless of Onexox users or other telco's users within our knowledge and voice their problems including ours.

Onexox dealers can voice problems as dealer at Onexox dealer's channel and he/she also can voice problems as users too.

For my case,if making reports solved the problems,i wouldn't port out 2 of my Onexox lines to other telco (For OTP/TAC use).

i'd ported to tunetalk a month ago.. immediately faced TAC/OTP problem from certain banks and services.. i do received the sms pin but its delayed, so everytime i received it, its already expired.. one month later, issue still persist despite several contact with customer service of telco, banks, etc..

it seems like certain portion of users faced such issue when they port-in to Celcom's MVNO
*
QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Nov 29 2019, 07:53 AM)
If after some time, with numerous reports and problem still persist, the only other solution for peace of mind is to port out to another telco provider. Unless you are really happy with the other benefits of Tunetalk. Someone XOX users who ported out to Tunetalk, claim they resolved their OTP/TAC problems after. All depends on your decision
*
That's right.........just port out to other telco provider if problems are not solved. All telco users can port out anytime if users are not bound with telco contract.

yup. only lucky ones got no problem with TAC. more often than not got problem with TAC with one of the service providers.

dont think they will. i think only few customer got no issue with otp. they will just blame 3rd party (sms provider) instead of thinking a way to fix this issue.

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Nov 30 2019, 08:03 AM)
I really don't understand why only a selected few unlucky ones face issues with their TAC/OTP. The pattern seems random and totally unpredictable if you are going to face this problem or not. Surely there has to be a blanket remedy to fix all customers facing this. Sorry, but I am just being curious.
*
QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Nov 30 2019, 10:07 AM)
Logically I believe that it does. Just that I am one of those unlucky ones, never to experience it and hope I never do.
*
QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Nov 30 2019, 10:11 AM)
yup, just that the incidences is very much higher on this telco than others. my advice, don't use this telco as ur main line or only use it if otp are non essential for u.
*
If you are looking for long validity for unused credits, calls, sms and data or parking "VIP" phone numbers, then Onexox prepaid is the good choice.

If you are using Onexox for OTP/TAC,you may/might be facing this problems but not all users......good luck to you.

Hope this will help.

Hi,you will get free sms(150 x 12 months)when you MNP to Onexox prepaid or activate new Onexox starter pack and these 1800 free sms can be used for same network(Onexox/XOX) only.

The sms that purchased or awarded free through HAPPY HOURS promo purchased which credited into "Season Pass" acc can be used for other's networks in Malaysia.

Hope this will help.

Took me awhile to figure out how to use the data from the purchased season pass 😅😅

I tested calling using minutes from the SP, with both calls within 30 seconds.

But when i checked the app, it had deducted 2 mins from my allowance.

Is this the case? I was told the charging block is 30 secs...

I use XOX mainly for phone calls, so is it cheaper to go for the SP minutes or PAYU?
*
Hi,the 30 sec/block(RM0.06 - RM0.12 sen) is for call usage that deduct credit/airtime when you have used up minutes in season pass.

As for the minutes in season pass usage is 60 sec/block at only RM0.09(RM30 for 333 min)

Hope this will help.

Hi,you can purchase validity in advanced for Onexox prepaid.

For Onexox prepaid, purchase validity 1 year @ RM25 and 4 years validity will cost you RM100 only,5 years validity for RM125 only.

Black B10 plan will cost you RM10.60 x 12 months = RM127.20 per year.

Hope this will help.

If I were to buy a new sim card, can I chose to buy the welcome package myself later (with 10 days). The dealer was trying to make me buy the welcome package on the spot when I buy the sim card but I prefer to do it on my own later if possible
*
Hi,you can choose to purchase welcome deal within 10 days of activation or you can purchase HAPPY HOURS promo that suits you later,it's up to you.

But in order to get 28 months validity for new simpack/new prepaid number you must either :

1) Purchase one of the welcome deal within 10 days of activation @ 28 months validity updated instantly.

OR

2) Top up total of RM50 within 30 days of activation @ 28 months validity updated in 2 to 3 weeks.

The dealer ask you to purchase the welcome deal because he/she will get top up incentives plus extra incentives for every welcome deal you purchased.

Hope this will help.

Hi I understand your concern. My main purpose of suggesting black xox is because of the carry forward data. Its very suitable for irregular monthly data user.
*
Hi,the data in Onexox Black can be carried forward and the unused data in Onexox prepaid can be save till your line expired.

I think you should get info about these two different plan and compare how much you'll save.

Hopefully you find the right dealer who really make the comparison and not the dealer who are targeting on the incentives.

Hope this will help.

A few questions.

1) I tested both Redone and XOX internet at the same time (exactly same speed test a few times, and different web pages). Swap the sim cards on different phones for accuracy purpose also and test same time.
XOX deducted more than 300MB while Redone only deducted less than 100MB (most likely much lesser as in also included a few days ago data usage). From my experience, just opening a few pages and run a few speed test will not use so much data. Why then is XOX using more than 3x data?

2) I sent 2 sms to 23388 (basically to activate data from season pass and to stop automatic data renewal). I was deducted 50 cents for this? Is it every sms to 23388 is 25 cents?
*
Hi,for question No.1,regarding the data consumption for speed test......sorry i don't have the answer.

For question No.2,all sms sent to 22111 or 23388 are free of charge,

you can check on the Prepaid Itemized Statement(Selfcare portal) next month to check on the RM0.50 usage or call customer service for details of the charges.

Hope this will help.

How long can I just leave it there before it expires?

You need to activate it from season pass for use and will be valid for 30 days.

My data usage (excude wifi) this monthly is almost all from google chrome. Just testing a bit, already consumed almost 150MB on my main phone. But the strange thing is my XOX app showing more than 300MB used.Even when I swapped my XOX sim card for a short while to the other phone, total usage of both phones is around 300 MB (and that would have included my Redone sim which I tend to use way more but Redone app shows lesser data consumed than XOX apps). Something is clearly not right here with  XOX

Hi,These fast consuming data of Onexox already been voice by many users in "Soal Jawab Onexox" facebook chat group.

The answer provided........."Onexox 4G" data speed are "Super fast speed" and that why Onexox's data consumed more than others.....

They give suggestions to users to "Change network setting" to 3G,STOP all apps auto update and STOP media auto play in facebook to solve this fast data consuming problem......

Let's wait for answers here in this thread.........hopefully from Onexox's veterans.
