QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 26 2016, 05:15 PM) Not too big, just big enough for me. Have been adjusting the figure upwards for ASNB FP, lowering amt for FD. Hopefully by 4/10, not all for the FP ! QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Sep 26 2016, 05:21 PM) My 2 months of ' merry go round' few banks, multiple trips/ day now are paying off 1 by one on dividend date. Next week may have to go to the banks few days if cannot finish the dough in hand within 1 day for the FP funds. But lazy me will not do so many trips in 1 day. |

How was it like ? For AS1M, some may sell on the first day say 4/10 and some may sell over the following few days ? But for other FP,may be difficult to get, just have to try. Planning to buy say x00k units within few days.

QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Sep 26 2016, 05:53 PM) Just bring your 3 passbooks and ask the teller to try on any of it if you have no special preferences or limit set/ book. I think will try AS1M first with larger amt. Then the other 2 books. Assuming some people will sell after receiving dividends. May have to lower down my expectation if cannot get the x00k units within few days. Just move to 4% FD. |

QUOTE(twinkle5129 @ Sep 26 2016, 06:08 PM) Glad, my 'hunting' days are officially over. Scary, thinking of the stiffer competition now with lowered OPR. I am trying to settle my target in Oct, if not by Nov. Then like auntie, just watching the dividends coming in. Anyway I think the pie is big enough for all to share. Also trying to see any retail bonds that I can buy. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Sep 26 2016, 07:31 PM |

QUOTE(??!! @ Sep 26 2016, 09:40 PM) PB is of no help to me when it comes to ASX. The one bank which is an agent bank, totally not interested to deal with ASx. PB jump Q no apply to ASx Some people just simply say about PB. Don't see how it will help. RM not interested in ASNB UT more over FP. Affin no PB program.OT Kind of wary of Bonds...increased risk of default during these turbulent times for relatively low returns. Hmmm... Metals?? Oil Palm?? Bond wise have to choose carefully. Starting to learn. Have asked @guy3288 and he has given me some info. Last time told RM just interested with FD. Have checked with CIMB RM on bonds issued by banks. She told me about CIMB one with return 5.8% but have to check other hidden costs. QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 26 2016, 09:47 PM) x=1, can ? This post has been edited by bbgoat: Sep 26 2016, 10:29 PM |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 27 2016, 08:59 AM) Below is the plus points:- But some banks has fixed counter for ASNB purchase, right ? Some may just be no queue number needed (like HL PB), some may just be queue button for PB customer etc. So may not work for some banks. 1. special numbers instead of normal q to wait for your turn 2. teller will attend to your request for multiple attempts instead of 1 or 2 ony 3. etc... Like Affin has no PB program. I was thinking of using Affin as they seems to be more helpful on this ASNB FP. CIMB is another one which I has RM. AmBank (just started on ASNB) RM told me they are not really interested in doing ASNB funds. I think more important is the relationship with the people in the bank. |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 27 2016, 09:24 AM) Those Banks with PB, u can leverage on both PB status n relationship I guess I would not leverage too much on this PB. Affin branch already know me pretty well. No PB program there. But treated rather well there. Too much deposit there when they have the 4.5% FD. Should have moved some to ASNB FP fund if I have known it earlier. Those Banks w/o PB, depend on relationship ony |

Going forward, other funds may have similar or even lower performance. The 6.1% still considered to be good in today's climate. So in the end, no use also.. |

Just for my info, what was the declared dividend for ASW in Aug 2016 ?
From the past history, ASW is just slightly lower than AS1M. Maybe except this year. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Sep 27 2016, 08:30 PM |

QUOTE(you90 @ Sep 28 2016, 09:58 AM) Wow, it requires a lots of patience to open a new acc in ASNB Shah Alam, hmm, wonder I can even do it during office hours I was non believer before. Turned back by RHB and MBB few times, said cannot open new acct. But I was able to open all 3 FP acct with single try.I will try on 4 Oct then, if cannot open a new account, then I will choose to top up AS1M je la. Yes well said, as long it is above FD, I am thankful too! So go and try it out as some of the sifu suggested. |
