I don't think they changed the movement, only case size and watch face. So yes you can still hear the ticking when it is super quiet. Never bothered me once though.

Good analogy on headphones. If you are getting only 1 watch and be done with it, yeah sure, get what you like, who cares if it's designer or watch brands, if it works it works. But trust me the poison has only just started  devil.gif  brows.gif

Accuracy is a funny thing. Most of my watches are automatic, and as you may have know now, automatics do lose or gain few seconds per day. Some up to 20-40 secs. It never really bothered me because I don't see it a hassle to adjust my watch once every few weeks if needed. It makes me tend to them more which I like doing it. But if you definitely need an accurate one, get a quartz. Citizen eco-save and some seiko/orient quartz or even the fairfield are all good. Usually cheaper too.

Have a few already on my short list, where did you get your fairfield from? Couldnt find it on their official malaysia site anymore.

Had a friend went to US for a week. Amazon-ed that to his hotel. Only cost me RM209. Few are selling on Lelong. Or you can find others to bulk from Amazon sharing shipping. I used to help my colleagues and friends bulk the older weekender. Only costing them RM175 per weekender.

Can't trouble a friend on business trip much. Amazon was an easy solution. And still far cheaper than getting it here. #worthit

how much is it here now? last time i recall was something like rm209.
but the weekender case feels weird like chrome plated alloy.
if i was to choose an analog timex, hands down will be the waterbury...just more expensive at rm300++.

Hi guys, today only noticed this awesome thread and I've been spending half day reading from page1-45.tongue.gif

After reading hodinkee article about seiko 5, I immediately recall that I have bought one to my father for birthday gift. However, he dislike the bracelet bcos it keep pulling his hand hair so he just left aside collect dust since day one I bought.

So I thinking to wear it myself but I don't really like bracelet as it looks a bit old style for me tongue.gif
Planning to swap with nato strap. Any colour suit this watch face?
