wait...what 2nd coming of AP? did they ever go away?
*
Some quarters see AP as a one-trick pony, with nothing much else to show for outside of the RO.

And with the RO being such an antiquated and divisive design, it seems to be only a matter of time before it dies off.

I know a Nigerian dude who wears one of these in meetings with his suit and tie. Folks often wonder if he's really an engineer or rapper wannabe. Like having a blazing sunrise on his wrist LOL.
*
You say that, but I think their skin tone really goes well with yellow gold.
We used to see Usain Bolt here during Melbourne Cup period, and he'd always be dressed super sharp with a yellow gold watch and a white suit.

Before news of the 1861s discontinuation, 20% off was sort of the ballpark.

With this new variant, I'm guessing it'll start around 5-10%, to be adjusted depending on how demand pans out over the years?

With the 1861, you've got to remember that it's essentially the same watch that has been on the market for 10+ years.

Just realised they finally updated the millisecond markers to match the movement bph.

Was wondering why it felt a bit bare.

One of my favourite takes on the travel time complication.

Nice to see something different in the case for once.

Not yet, my SO had recently gifted me a 10pc box so I would need to come up with a polite excuse to replace it sweat.gif. Suggestions very much welcome!

I do have an eye on the rapport optic eight - the wood grain appears to be ash, similar to one of my guitars, of which I'm quite fond of.

Why not add a new box?

"Oh honey, look at all these empty slots."

Been wanting a sailcloth strap for some time now.
The iwc was previously on a leather strap and didn't wear it much - should see more sunlight now!

I bought it from some shop near Chinatown back in the days.

You can probably get it online easily these days - it's a Bergeon 6767F.

So hey, anybody got lucky and managed to get thru on the Ming 27.01 or 27.02 just now?  tongue.gif

I've thought long about this one. Really like the thinness (I'm looking for a <10mm 3-hander), but probably feels a touch too futuristic for my tastes.

Also not cheap anymore these days!
Plus servicing was one of my concerns with these indie brands.

Much better treatment / experience than buying a 100k watch from Rollie ADs for sure laugh.gif

As a pleb, I can assure you the experience is consistent between both Rolex and Hermes laugh.gif

Gents, nobody put gun on your head ask you buy Rolex. You're free to vote with your feet. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

But if you die die also want to buy Rolex, unfortunately it is what it is. Hype begets hype. No need to hate on the salespeople who are only doing their job.
