Chill la guise. Nothing wrong with fellow member doing a legit check- although some common sense should prevail. Price is always an indication, definitely.

Logically thinking, wouldn't he doing legit check before purchasing?

Oh, he said "got it from a friend". I took it literally, as in his friend gave to him. Didn't occur to me that he bought it, lol.

over hundred years of history.. no soul? All those research put in their Spring Drive.. soulless ? Their special skill of polishing called Zaratsu .. no soul? Everything Seiko does is not only putting soul on their watch it's also a work of art.

Hi, newbie here. Usually what is the reasonable discount rate should I ask for when buying a watch? tongue.gif

That's easy, clear her out? tongue.gif

Apple watch for gym? Hmm, don't think so. Why'd you need a watch during gym anyway? The HRM is inaccurate. Better off with one of the watches with a chest strap for HRM.

Anyway, I have been contemplating getting an Apple Watch, for gym use. Ok la, don't know why just itchy. But gf says I need to clear some space before I even look at something else. Not sure I want to pay full price, so hovering around used Series 1 or Series 2, anyone with experience, please do chime in on whether this is a useful device. I definitely don't need something to read my messages without taking my phone out of pocket.

In other news, I'm told I need more arm hair to pull this off:

Luckily, it doesn't matter since my pockets can't pull off the asking price.

buying apple watch for gym? thats stupid...like u say...just itchy.
for gym use, and those that are easily available locally...just get either a gshock / garmin / polar...nothing else matters.

Jason Everdying thanks guise, I knew you gents would point me in the right direction. Looks like I'm just itchy after all. Maybe it is time to clear out the gf...

laugh.gif

On a more serious note, I'm actually working on marketing some Apple straps and want to take some pics. No watch = no pics. While the straps were an okay idea, I personally do not believe in the concept of smart watches. I know my product is the strap, but how can I see accessories for a product I do not believe in? :-(

So since I joined the gym earlier this year, I thought I'd try and convince myself that it was actually a useful product. I guess not...

What Everdying said, buy a dummy watch from taboo for the stock photo shoot.

Or borrow one from a poor sod you know. As Mr.T says, pity the fool.

bros, wanna ask any good watch shop to rekomen?

i wanna sell my watches.

today went to ss2 HT , quoted me a bit lower than my expectation.

so i went to the famous subang ss14 WW. service is good but didnt quote me.as im working i didnt bring all the boxes with me. so i ask them to quote n give them my watch.

then the girl tell me they charge rm150 per watch for quoting.i was like "huh?". she say this to prevent ppl come n quote for fun.

isnt this suppose to b your services? well ok, then i said i will bring the box n cert full set later. so if the price u offer is lower than another shop, for sure i wont trade here. and she said then i had to pay the rm150.

walao, i bring the full set box damn heavy and find the bloody parking. and they stil thought i might get a quote for fun?

really disappointed by their so call rules.

any place to rekomen where they buy watches at a reasonable good price? business need cashflow tht y im selling n gmt master II and panerai.

i doubt u will get anything near 50% of wat u paid for it assuming u bought it new.
HT my best guess is they offered u something around 40%?

anyway, unless u need instant cash...best u just sell them off yourself via forums etc.

actually i bought my gmt master II in swiss in 2010.

HT offer me a price close to my buying price. in fact almost 90%.

the panerai i bought from HT 2yrs ago which is an used condition. they offer me 70% of my buying price.

not too bad actually.

just heard my partner said he went to TS in amcorp which offer a better price for rolex. so planning to go over there later.

selling via forums takes too long time.im in need of cash flow now. somemore i sked being scam.
