ya....can you teach me how to use google dns?
*
for Aztech modem;

just go into the modem page, 192.168.1.1, key in username 'admin' and password 'admin'.

after that find DNS at the menu on the left ( i cant remember where it is exactly because it's been awhile since i use that modem)

at the DNS page, key in 8.8.8.8 as the primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary DNS. save/submit the setting and dont forget to click 'save modem setting' if im not mistaken which located at the menu on the left.

wait for a min, and then you'll be using google DNS already smile.gif

just clear the DNS setting, clear the numbers, and tick that 'use ISP DNS' thingy (i'm not sure of the full name)

Hi guys. Not sure if you guys have the same situation for the Maxis wired BB. I find my connection for 1Mbps is very erratic. Sometimes connected at d/l speed 382kbps and sometimes (rarely) at 1024kbps. Mostly around 512/544kbps.

I checked this through the ZyXEL (modem provided by Maxis) admin console.

Is this normal?

Your housing area using Maxis fixed line for telephony? Maxis wired BB is exclusively for those areas.
