Should easily work. Linus used this method to unlock 6ghz in Canada.

How much cheaper is it in Singapore? I’m waiting for September until my New York trip to buy them there.

I’ve imported a few mobile phones/devices over the years, S8+, S10+, iPad Pro 10.5, S21 5G, two of them kena SIRIM, have to go to SIRIM QAS to pay the fees. Though those are cellular devices and U6 Enterprise is just considered as consumer/business network equipment, not completely sure if it’ll get SIRIM’s attention. But even not considering SIRIM, the warranty provided by my supplier is nice, 2 years warranty, compared to no warranty at all if import by ourselves.

Also I can technically just bring 1-2 of U6E back in my backpack since Malaysia customs at JB doesn’t inspect backpacks, only luggages and hand carry bags. Soooo :v

And from what I can see on eBay, the prices are similar. But Ubiquiti official store is selling it at significantly cheaper price, double edge sword really atm hmm

I think warranty is very important.

I’m taking a big risk buying from the USA, but it’s just too expensive for me to get in Malaysia

I just hope everything works well

I know we can still request rma from anywhere worldwide, but it’ll be very expensive to ship and very expensive for them to ship back too

Exactly, on eBay it's 294.99USD but shipping it back is gonna be probably half or more of that. But if it's bought in Singapore, I can just bring it in with me and exchange it/RMA it F2F.. unsure.gif

Got a pricelist from one of my supplier at work for Ubiquiti equipment

UDR 298
UDM 548
UDM SE 738
U6+ 138
U6 Pro 218
U6 LR 248
U6 Enterprise 418
U6 IW 258

All prices in SGD, thoughts? Looks like all of them are about 10-20% cheaper than retail in SG/MY

Might pull the plug on the UDR or UDM-SE with the U6E, have the full pricelist but didn't want to post just in case I bring too many unnecessary attention to it tongue.gif

Hello!

Does anyone know how to properly setup iptv or voip for the UDM pro / SE?

A lot of people say it is a software limitation and can never work, is this true for us too?

I need vlan 822 for my maxis voip for maxis main router wan port.

i have already made a new voip network called maxis voip with vlan 822

i have enabled iptv on network settings, and added this maxis voip network to "viewing" area of iptv settings

then i have gone into usm se port setting as set the 8th port as voip port, which network is the voip 822

right now i have set the new virtual network as third party (vlan only)

is there anything i am doing wrong ?

is it just me or is there an issue trying to download the unifi ubiquiti app for android from googleplay?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...=en&gl=US&pli=1

https://community.ui.com/releases/UniFi-And...e8-d3b1608538cc

is this by chance anything to do with the isp unifi dispute in regards to the name?

https://community.ui.com/questions/No-way-t...77-b4cd09d08e83

https://community.ui.com/questions/Unifi-Ne...62-148a2c9afa50

Anyway a work around is to get the app from a third party

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/ubiquiti-networks-inc/unifi/

and if you are wondering if it's safe
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/c...apkmirror_safe/

anyway the unifi ubiquiti app is for basically setting up the ubiquiti device via android basically

also fyi there were reported issues with UniFi 10.7.1, so you may want to try the previous android apk version to see if that worked or not instead hmm.gif

so it does seem to be a geoblock issue for Malaysia. i guess not only android but also apple as well. thx for the info notworthy.gif

anyway just surprised we got a malaysia ubiquiti thread here but nobody has mentioned this before. maybe they didn't realize this? there is an important app called unifi (by ubiquiti). This is to help detect your ubiquiti device and manage it on either your apple or android smartphone device. but due to geoblock, you won't see it at the store or at least won't be able to download it normally.

unless doing the method you mentioned (login to a foreign country account for appleid that is not under this geoblock restriction) or download via a trusted third party site like i mentioned earlier, basically wink.gif

this is a demo for what the app does

alternatively if you don't use this mobile app, you can use a web browser to detect the unifi device on network and set it up that way. i have my unifi controller self hosted on a QNAP NAS using docker container nod.gif

No i order from Ubiquiti directly and use a shipping forwarder. I got kena sirim for other stuff before but my Ubiquiti stuff didnt kena although they usually will target any device with radio waves etc. If order from Amazon i think you will kena larh.

And the app i dont think its geoblock issue, its issue with TM trademark of Unifi, thats why our local distributors also have to put sticker on Unifi.

Looks like my USG PRO 4 is at the end of it's life sad.gif turns off by itself after 20 minutes or so. Been running 24/7 for quite a few years.

Not sure where to start troubleshooting, I've tried to factory reset / adopt it to Synology controller and it died again half way through.

Tried to connect to power directly instead of UPS, still same .. dies again soon after.

Switched back to the Unifi supplied D-Link router for now ...
