Oic..How about c2d price now? Y dont take the c2d cause core duo seem not so match with the high end dedicated gc here. icon_idea.gif Even some forumer said this lappy should be match with higher C2D model processor .

Y KL selling so cheap?Penang here selling the RM4399 for R55 and RM4199 for S73G. Still considering between this 2 models, too interesting but have to choose 1 of them. R55 got 15.4"lcd,nice look but mid end GC. S73G got X1600(wow) but ugly look and 14"lcd only. How to choose? Any comment from the owner for this 2 models? If here still cant find in low price then I will go down lowyat buy icon_rolleyes.gif . More worth then buy in penang. shakehead.gif So jealous when saw u all buy with good price and free stuff. drool.gif

i have been through this...my budget the max is rm4k....i have been targeting S73G for a long time.....R55 always over my budget... but, when the time i decided to go for S73G (last saturday), i suddenly found out R55 can get below rm4k... considering i'm not too much into gaming...as long as i can play some new games with a medium quality, it's fine with me... what's important i can get a bigger screen 15.4"... so I decided to buy R55... my number three choice was Toshiba A100-2012 at rm3940...number 4 was Asus A8Jn...

ooo...that's a nice offer... rclxms.gif
anyway...how long can the battery last?... smile.gif
*
battery life is not the best available... only around 2.5 hours only... maybe considering to buy 9 cells battery..

The price when I bought s73g was 4.3k with 2gig ram. I believe the price would have dropped by now. It is bundled with Linpus Linux.

so...you bought the highest specs is it? brows.gif
what do you mean speaker need improvement?can't added any software to improve it? cool.gif

i got it about 5 months ago with about rm 3899 & 1x1024 ram (not bad la at that time). everything works perfect. just one thing.. my speaker....
Dont know is my problem only or what...
the sound seems a bit sharp, unpleasant tone heard when playing music... although not consider as break sound but not nice...
ha no chance to get it change in Malaysia anymore but will try the service center in uk.

So those who wish to buy ths model remember to confirm it's speaker quality. i know benq joybook products easy to got this and keyboard problems. the rest i think not bad than those so call famous brand brows.gif , especially in terms of software and lcd screen.. but with super low price... so it's really worth to get benq product provided u know its minor flaw... (like i use external keyboard usually rather using it's own keyboard.) icon_rolleyes.gif
I know these cause i got one relative working in BenQ service center.. cool2.gif

Hi kelvinbongcn, I dun use the speakers much but you might be right. The sound quality of the speakers is not too great. I would usually use headphones to listen to music or games. As for the keyboard, some keys might be bothersome. I don't know how they built it but itz not all perfect.

well...i not really test my R55 performance yet becoz i'm quite busy to play games & try it to the max...i just leave it idle for 24 hours to test the system stability...no problem except for initially i forgot to change turn off harddisk after 30 minutes of idle(in power saving mode)...so I restarted the system and set the power saving mode of never turn off harddisk...it hibernate well and fast come back to windows when needed....no heat issue so far even my room isn't air conditioning... rclxms.gif
