he-sham: i checked last weekend, R55 dosent have DVI output... i know with R55's geforce 7400 output can be good... but vga=analouge=data loss... hehehe, pardon my ignorance, im a HD freak...

BenQ notebook that have DVI output is only S73G... theres a lot of ASUS have DVI.. but keen on price...

Well, can u tell me more about ur R55? hows the performance? etc etc... who knows, u might change my mind... smile.gif

today in star paper, BenQ came out with new joybook series...

S73V, probably same spec with S73G, but with vista installed and improved speaker/sound system... R55V would have nvidia 7400....

when its available? lucky i didnt purchase yet smile.gif

the salesman at lowyat plaza explained to me that if u installed Vista in S73G, all drivers would upload automatically, no hassel... so if the new s73v only offers preloaded vista, might get the s73g now, seems price dropped...

centrino c2d? its centrino mobile technology with core 2 duo... isnt that the latest ones?

heck, i played around with displayed s73g with vista home premium notebook there... seems the display is good and the 3d graphic is magnificent.. the ati x1600 is really a good gc...

with 2g ram, its consider ultimate machine for me... u cant find ati x1600 in other model within this price range... acer x1600 128mb is priced around RM49++

but bear in mind that acer's notebook with x1600 (cant remember what model) has C2D 1.8 ghz whereas S73G only 1.66ghz...

if looking at gc, i think x1600 256mb dedicated is much better... gaming with vista i dunno, im not a gamer... go to lowyat and test it out...
