So far so good...no heat problem ....just run windows and played some movies.... didnt play any games yet.. touchpad & keyboard are good....still wanna get to use with lappie keyboard...it got 4 USB ports....2 on the left..2 on the right side..so not crowded in one line...card reader located at the right hand side...and sound output & input & firewire located infront.....DVD burner slot quite located at the right side...already try dvd 9 movie..it run smoothly !! biggrin.gif ....also tried some light multitasking, watch movie, transfer file via bluetooth, installing some applications...it also run smoothly...

battery life not sure yet becoz using power supply all the way....will test it & wireless at alamanda putrajaya after this...hehe... stay tuned !

Y KL selling so cheap?Penang here selling the RM4399 for R55 and RM4199 for S73G. Still considering between this 2 models, too interesting but have to choose 1 of them. R55 got 15.4"lcd,nice look but mid end GC. S73G got X1600(wow) but ugly look and 14"lcd only. How to choose? Any comment from the owner for this 2 models? If here still cant find in low price then I will go down lowyat buy icon_rolleyes.gif . More worth then buy in penang. shakehead.gif So jealous when saw u all buy with good price and free stuff. drool.gif

i have been through this...my budget the max is rm4k....i have been targeting S73G for a long time.....R55 always over my budget... but, when the time i decided to go for S73G (last saturday), i suddenly found out R55 can get below rm4k... considering i'm not too much into gaming...as long as i can play some new games with a medium quality, it's fine with me... what's important i can get a bigger screen 15.4"... so I decided to buy R55... my number three choice was Toshiba A100-2012 at rm3940...number 4 was Asus A8Jn...

QUOTE(unknowndevices @ Jan 22 2007, 10:39 AM)
ooo...that's a nice offer... rclxms.gif
anyway...how long can the battery last?... smile.gif
*
battery life is not the best available... only around 2.5 hours only... maybe considering to buy 9 cells battery..

QUOTE(apisgogo @ Jan 22 2007, 04:32 PM)
i dont know whether they have a c2d version... all their brouchers and in their website were stated core duo... i'll check it out again later at the end of the weekend... i might consider to take c2d one...
*
S73G got core 2 duo version..

better get c2d.. i think the price for c2d around rm3.9k to rm4k...

Asus A8J series is also under consideration.... the only thing that hasitate me to get A8Jseries is the price... S73G seems more tempt...

anyway cant wait for the purchase smile.gif
*
DVI out ..i'm not sure..but R55 does have S-Video out jack & VGA port.. i already tried both to my 17" crt monitor and television...its working perfectly ! hehe..

Well, can u tell me more about ur R55? hows the performance? etc etc... who knows, u might change my mind... smile.gif
*
well...i not really test my R55 performance yet becoz i'm quite busy to play games & try it to the max...i just leave it idle for 24 hours to test the system stability...no problem except for initially i forgot to change turn off harddisk after 30 minutes of idle(in power saving mode)...so I restarted the system and set the power saving mode of never turn off harddisk...it hibernate well and fast come back to windows when needed....no heat issue so far even my room isn't air conditioning... rclxms.gif

DVI output just can be found in high end dedicate GC. X1600 did. rclxm9.gif
*
yaa...x1600 on s73g really high end gc... go7400 only mid end...it only manage half of 3dmark2005 compared to x1600 3dmark2005 ...... but i love r55 15.4" screen...hehe... biggrin.gif

Q1)Just wonder how the quality of built-in TV tuner on S73G?It is clear enough or blur blur?haha..Can see all TV programe?

Q2)The screen is 16ms like R55 or 25ms like normal laptop?
*
no tv tuner for benq s73g malaysia version...but it still include remote control !! huhu....very useful accessory...

16 mili seconds screen response feature is available on R55..world fastest response time for notebook.. what i can tell u, the LCD display is supreme & awesome....many of my friends impress with its display view..

QUOTE(shirohamada @ Jan 26 2007, 02:46 PM)
x1600 is better than geforce7400 though
*
yeah....x1300 on s73g good for hardcore gamers... but lite gamer & more doing office job such as typing and AUTO Cad, better go for R55, for bigger view... go7400 is not a bad graphic card anyway....but i haven't realish its potential yet coz busy doing project paper or some college works...hehe icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah..finally find out that *V is for Vista....so the only difference is R55V or S73V come with windows vista instead of windows XP home...

other specs still the same...hehe... smile.gif

V version out in market alr? Y all ppl keep support S73G only? How about other model! he-sham, u should pull some friends to purchase R55 to increase R55 user group biggrin.gif
*
difference between r55 and s73 only its graphic card, screen size, design and significantly, the price...R55 is the most expensive joybook in the market right now...but, i think s73 is more value for money becoz of its graphic card...those who need mobility also should go for s73 becoz r55 offers more premium display with its 15.4" size & 16ms response screen and obviously heavier than s73...

i'm still cant install nfsc...i wonder there's problem with my ciplak nfsc DVD.....still with DirectX error....too busy with my works and dont actually have time to buy new one... but i already install FM2007, PES6 and NFSMW black edition...all run smoothly...

so who'll be next to my name in R55 list ??...huhu...

one more thing.. GPU temp just after exit the game was at 59 degree celcius in non air cond room.... sweat.gif
