You can try to make your unit better than your competitors for e.g offer fully furnished, nice decoration etc. Like I said before this, I don't think the rental will be that low. Try comparing rental rates in the area. I still think people are willing to pay rental for RM1,500 in DPC. Most important rule is your rental must be at least break even.

PPA1M is affordable housing for civil servants of all Gred.

Don't confuse low cost housing from affordable housing. That's why you see the basic unit given to you has some standard. Look at Kemasan Dinding and Kemasan Lantai - these are standard condo materials. Some condos like Main Place Condo - the walkway from elevator to unit is cement only. Some condos only tile the wall halfway for toilet.

Also, it is clearly stated for gov servants of all Gred (be it Gred 17 to JUSA, or even higher), and in your permohonan, applicants has to declare number of properties owned by applicant and spouse. Also need to submit slip gaji of both husband and wife. So, if this is not the applicant's first property, and the applicant still gets the unit, it is fair and square.

PPA1M is one of many benefits of civil service. So, is pencen, health coverage, Bab B and Bab C of Perintah Am. These benefits are the few reasons why we are still in civil service.

tak payah la argue sgt for own stay or not, l'm not sure about the rest but some of us kena pindah from time to time, so far l've been in putrajaya, johor and KL, pasni selangor maybe. for a big state like selangor or Johor, from 1 daerah to another pon dah seksa, plus more hassles that you might never imagine. kalo kena pindah aku kena sewa kat tempat baru, if pocket deep enough boleh la tinggalkan rumak kat KL ni kosong, but for how long? no one can tell. so be considerate la sikit, org lain pon susah ni

It is normal reaction on bising bising not allow to rent coz most of them will be affected and they are not entitlement to get a unit.

I do agree with u that not everyone will stay at 1 place for extended period. Possibly I'll be transfer out of Klang valley as well. Although I would prefer for my own stay, but it might not be possible and the unit will be left vacant. So some will still rent it out to ease the financial burden. What is important here is there must be consensus among the owners here such as only rent to decent/professional locals and above certain rent.
This will be my first house too but I don't mind anyone with 1 or 2 houses buy it for investment purposes. We don't have the right to judge other ppl and it was PPA1M who approve it and not me. If they falsify their info then sooner or later it will be exposed or we can make a formal complaint. Otherwise everyone should be welcome as long as they fulfil the requirement which is a civil servant.
