I mean the balance due is the full statement balance, not just the net figure.
HLB is expecting me to pay the full balance, even though Lazada has refunded within the same statement cycle.
E.g.
Within my JUN statement, the statement is 3k.
Expense to Lazada RM2.5k, then later Lazada refunded 2.5k also within Jun statement.
I paid RM500 before the due date of Jun statement, total up to 3k.
BUT, HLB doesnt recognise the RM2.5k as 'payment' for Jun statement.
They are expecting us to pay 3k, so i was charged 15% on the 2.5k which has been refunded by Lazada.
that's why im sharing this.
If you say your statement balance is 3K which is the full amount, that will be the figure to pay.
I think you have a situation of the refund being posted only after the cut-off of the card statement, so that the refund has entered into the next statement cycle even though Lazada has processed the refund in the current cycle.
It's the posting date that matters.
But you did get the reversal of the 15% interest right?
