QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jun 10 2019, 07:57 PM) Now thinking OCBC 365 MasterCard Card is useful now i think the revised Wise benefits still not terrible. it covers 3 commonly-used categories, rm54 combined cashback for rm675 spend. the reduced AF is attactive to jump over from SCB still thinking on readjusting petrol spend @ scb (revised) vs wise (revised) vs affin-bhp. only logical is get Wise after affin-bhp ended their 10% promo.

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jun 10 2019, 08:16 PM) Was hoping Affin BHP card can extend the promo, otherwise, another choice will be Maybank Islamic PETRONAS Ikhwan Visa HL Wise for petrol only RM225 max spending to get RM18 return, unless monthly petrol is not that high yep, petrol roughly rm300/mth

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 10 2019, 08:37 PM) Damn I just got charged SST + AF. With this new terms the card is useless for me as I mainly use it to pay for utilities. Should I void the cash back on the 28th this month so that I can cancel now? which af you're on?

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 10 2019, 10:47 PM) well, depends on how desperate you want to kill the card or grab the cashback. since af is not waivable and you really want to cancel the card regardless, then forfeiting rm100 cashback for rm160 af seems ok wat

QUOTE(loongzai2 @ Jun 12 2019, 12:12 PM) This new condition with rm500 spending I can actually pump rm200 on BigPay then remaining rm300 other the selected category to entitled the 8% cash back? 0.25% for rm200 bigpay (no capping) 8% for rm300 on petrol/dining/groceries (capped rm18 per category)

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jun 12 2019, 01:22 PM) I think the new TNC is consider better with effective rate of 8% if u spend solely RM225 X 3 on the 3 chosen categories and get RM54 every month rather than spend RM1000 with only RM100 CB (5% CB). N the annual fee is only RM98 now anyway, if we follow the same rounding mechanism of Wise's cashback, each category need RM218.75 to hit RM18 cashback per category. theoretically, 3 x 218.75 (656.25) to get 54 cashback. this number troublesome to achieve for some categories.

Petrol, Groceries and Dining only le QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jun 12 2019, 03:37 PM) this have to give credit to HLB, returning the difference in AF i'm surprised too. at least they are being fair to those who already paid

updated comparison particularly on the "unlimited cashback in all categories" QUOTE(zinze36 @ Jun 12 2019, 03:58 PM) Weekend cashback is based on transaction date or posted date? QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 13 2019, 01:03 AM) Does anyone know HLB's tnc for the 8% cash back payout for weekend transactions during month end but posted in the following month ? Example, transaction on 31.8.2019 (Saturday) these 2 questions is similar. no idea on its logic since it's new. This post has been edited by cybpsych: Jun 13 2019, 07:55 AM

QUOTE(okyjace @ Jun 21 2019, 07:33 AM) Can you share where it says that weekend vs weekday classification will be based on transaction date instead of posting date. The FAQ clearly states with example that "WISE cash back is awarded based on posted transaction". There is an example given where a June transaction posted in July is counted as part of July. From personal experience using WISE for years, I have found their cashback to be always based on posting date, not transaction date. I can see very clearly from the statements there is transaction date and posting date given. Furthermore, in most transactions, the posting date is one or two days later. I believe this is because few merchants use HL credit card merchant services. Anyway, time will tell. If Friday dinner bill is counted as weekend spending is not a bad thing. posting date is for monthly cashback calculation of the current calendar month; not to determine eligibility ("weekend"). per T&C -- "The Cashback will be calculated at the end of each calendar month based on the total Eligible Retail Transactions for each calendar month"this is the same current behavior. if not posted within the same calendar month, there is nothing to calculate (unposted transactions are not final); even if you dined during weekend but posted to next month (e.g. dined 31 Aug, posted 1 Sep) next question would be: will this cross-month transaction utilize Sep cashback quota? answer: to be verified
