Today did a test drive in Glenmaire.. I was having high expectation especially the body build quality really did impress me.. the door feels more solid than the BRV... But it turn down me because of the steering feels so light, is like driving a toy and the CVT really 1 second delay... may i know is this normal? or just the test car problem especially the light steering..??

Not sure about you... what car u drove previously?

I find the stering feel very nice to me, at least... heavier than Myvi 1.3 hydraulic and it handles better too
At high speed the stering become heavier too which the weight blend in just nice to me without feeling uneasy

CVT I haven't try yet so not sure as mine is MT

Yeah, I drove both of them before too... I feel the Persona is on heavier side... not to mention at high speed.
I'm no enthusiast, but I can tell the steering feel is good to me

Hi All Daikor,

So noob question here, is the driver side power window automatically "up" and "down"? I read the manual, it seem can be "up" & "down" automatically, but for my case which is not. "Down" when press down to max "tuck" sound, it will go down automatically. But "up" is not. something wrong?

Another question is how we know we entitled for the free 3 years service? Mine is premium specs book end of September 2016 but from dealer.

You should get the free service loo, I am not sure but it is under promotion period. You get scam jor if Tak ada

The wind noise is only noticeable from the driver's window. I suspect its due to rubber seal.
*
Doubt anything can be done. Did rubber seal before
Not practical for this ride

What is the price of the body kit now? i asked the SA he said 1500.
*
I paid RM1K back in Oct'16. Personally, I think RM1.5K is a bit too much.
One of our fellow forumer posted pictures of his ride+body kit set up some time back.

The Syntium SE Series is said to be "Tuned for Proton" and it is good for 10k km for all range
SOS

Meanwhile I'm still wasn't sure if free service will get the SE series or the older one at 10w 40 which is thicker... my last service they gave me the old one because the SE version wasn't launched yet  hmm.gif

Just an info to fellow Personaians . I drive an Iriz .
I solved my rear tak tak sound when going over uneven bumps. The sound is internal sound . Not external.

It's because of the metal seat locker. Apply some black tape wrap it. Done deal

I noticed quite a number of persona on the road compared to saga. Tested saga seems not bad and persona for its interior though. Same cvt transmission except engine. Considering second car and looking at saga but thinking shld add 10k for persona whether worth it?Any comment?🤔

Tested both models:
NVH: feels saga quieter.
Steering response: saga feels more planted-could be
hydraulic steering though vs eps.
Acceleration: one sec lag on both models.
MID: saga only has one trip. Persona has fc two trips and avg fc.
Safety: both has esp. but premium has 6 airbags and touch screen. Slightly upmarket though.

Any feedbacks?

Mine clocked at almost 7K KM right now, fuel consumption is around 14KM/l ~ 16KM/l. If anything don't blindly follow the meter cluster. It's not accurate at all. Manual calculation is the best way to go.

Not sure is placebo effect or what, I do feel the low end torque is now better, soft acceleration is much more linear. All they did is replacing brake switch... will confirm again... last time what they did to your car to have that power delivery improved?

Windnoise they ordered a new part but not yet arrive, so they haven't fix this...

Dashboard rattling need take few days to test because its on and off.. so far no rattling noise

Aircond Odor seems reduced a lot... but not completely... all they did is adding a sponge as described in the description...

And too bad I don't get to meet the foreman for further explanation on what he did to rectifying those issues.

And yeah... free car wash rclxm9.gif

After u stop the engine, within 10 minutes, turn ur light switch from "off" to "position" and then to "off" again. The trick is from "position" to "off" or "auto" to "off" for premium variant

What I dont like is the headlight turns on immediately, it should be illuminated after u lock the car though..
