I lost my CPL before but my A119 is 1st gen without the groove on the camera lens to hold the CPL in place.

Never had this issue before with the GPS settings.

mine w/ groove... after my post this morning.. i found at the rear seat carpet of my car. LOL

I guess Im lucky w/ the GPS info thingy... Im pretty sure GPS became disabled after a while.. but cant be sure, quite hard to check the screen when its already in place... neck pain

Anyone had this issue?

My A119 suddenly stop recording.. i tried to reformat and switch other SD cards but it still doesn't work, when i on the device the time and recording just stop but im still able to press the buttons. Can't bring up the menu as well :L, only without SD card im able to bring up the menu

have you tried updating the firmware or re-flash the firmware?

cool after updating to V4 software its working again! btw how do i re-flash my software?

updating is flashing from older firmware to newer firmware.
re-flash is flashing same firmware again.

Saw in Viofo that the A119 have new firmware with .TS video support now...

Appreciate some assistance on the optimum settings to be used on Viofo A119:

Loop Recording: Is 3 minutes OK, or should be changed to 5 minutes?

Wide Dynamic Range: Should this be On or Off?

Parking Mode: Is it true that this should be left as OFF? Unless you have the hardwire kit installed (then only this can be ON), this should be left as OFF?

G Sensor: Some are recommending for "Low", whilst some are recommending for "Medium". Which would be optimum?

There are no optimum settings. Most are personal preferences.

3 minutes is fine. I find 5 minutes too long and 1 minute too short.

WDR - I turned this on

Parking mode - yes you need the hardwire kit only can use. So OFF it.

G-sensor - I use mid settings. China dashcam G-sensor not that sensitive like Korean dashcam which I use low settings.

If you frequently share your footage, you can set it to a low durations..
For me, I rarely or almost never view the footage. So, I set it at 10 minutes.
If I need to share the footage, I will cut the video myself using a pc software.

My preference:-
Loop recording : 3mins
WDR : off (to reduce motion blurring)

side question... what software or app on android u guys use to cut the video?

I use final cut or premier or davinci .. depends on mood

I'm a new owner of the viofo a119. My device comes with a FOC 8gb card(assume its cheapo, there's no brand on the sdcard). My problem is :

During recording, when the card gets full, the device would blink rapid red light & jam, pressing any keys wont turn the display on. I had 2 unplug the power to reset it, only then, when it switches on, it would prompt me to 'format' the memory card as its full. I also did not see any option to automatically delete the recordings when its full.

Does anyone has the same experience? Could pls kindly advise?

The loop recording was off.
Go to settings and find a 'loop recording' menu. There, you can set it to record in 1,2,3,5,10 minutes file duration or off (no loop recording).

Just replace the memory card with proven card.
Sandisk High Endurance or Samsung Evo Plus is proven enough.Make sure samsung is genuine card from Samsung Electronic.

Usually, free small size microSD card is not that good. More of a sales gimmick.

Get a good card like the Samsung Evo Plus is good enough for the A119 to use for a long time.

I just got my viofo a119. Is this SanDisk reliable or it's better to refund and get a different SD card?

They said the Sandisk Ultra A1 is new and using a newer NAND chip.

Heard some ppl say it's good and same level as Samsung Evo Plus.
