This is maybe guaranteed service & warranty as it comes from official site. But for cheaper, as I've searched around many sites, Lazada is cheapest, but it ships from china.

It's a risk you're willing to take to get it cheaper from China. I do know you can still claim warranty with them but you might need to send it back to them and you bear the shipment back to China and wait 3-6 weeks to reach then another 3-6 week to come back to Malaysia.

hi, i just got my a119, i guess its a v2. I did some reading, youtubes, found out the use of that funny detaching string. but were curious on some issues...

1. it cant on now, shall i charge it overnight prior to first use?
2. the suction mount is not included, may i know what type is suitable & where to get it?

A119 dont have battery no point charge overnight. Using all the original accesories come with the box?

You have to find out was it really cannot powered on 1st before doing and updating firmware. How to update firmware whereby you cant power on the camera.?

You mean how to find center point of your dashboard for the camera to be mounted?

Get 2 white paper, put 1 paper on each side of dashboard edge. View through camera lcd screen and adjust position till you seem both white paper. Then only you stick the camera onto the windscreen.

the unit only can be powered on when connected to power source. i cant turn it on without plugging usb on it. is this normal?

i thought of sticking it to a suction mount(refer attachment), so that it would be adjustable. is this normally done with viofo? Cos i saw yi dashcam is using suction mount.

viofo doesnt come with suction cup, but i saw a suction cup for viofo in lazada sold by china. however, lazada's shipping from china is pretty fast. Usually within a week also can arrive..

The nylon string is used to saw off the double-sided tape of the tape mount. When you want to remove the A119.

1. Doesn't need to charge overnight as using a capacitor. It will power on when have power.
2. Only A119 Pro comes with the suction mount. Here's the official page for the suction mount.

Yes normal as capacitor dashcam cannot power on without a power source. There is no battery inside the like the Yi dashcam.

Actually, the A119 lens can adjust up, down left and right.

There is a suction mount sold by Viofo but you can't use the GPS mount if you use the suction mount.

Discreet dashcam is more stuck on the top center of the windscreen behind the rearview mirror using tape mount than using the suction mount.

Yes normal because it is using a capacitor and not a lithium battery like Yi dashcam.

Lithium battery long term will spoil, leaking, bloated or worst case explodes.

was updating my A119s today, and notice my CPL is missing... anyone had issues like this before? i think when sent to carwash, must have dropped.

anyways another issue I seem to have is car info which i set like GPS speed ON, Location Off, modelstamp off, after a few weeks will become GPS speed OFF, location off, model stamp ON. how strange is that
