Yup, the beeping when not recording is fine, 'Beeps' is okay.. I find the startup sound annoying. (When showing the Viofo logo)

just ordered the unit.. wondering anyone used the motion detection mode and how you power the device?

Use Power Bank if you scare drain car battery.

err.. motion detector is when the car engine is turn off I think... e.g your car is parked? any recommendation for power bank? thanks

I ordered the A119 from GB on 1st October. Then I received a mail from GB saying my order parcel has been shipped out on 4th October 2016. As advised, I mentioned I would like them to use Kerry Service.

Today (10th October 2016) I have yet to receive my A119. It it normal? Anyone can advise?

Did you request for them to use Kerry Express in the special instructions before paying? If not then you need to see which shipping company they use instead of Kerry...

Yes, I mentioned to use Kerry Express. And received a mail saying my order has been shipped (shipped, not delivered). They is a link, showing the parcel picture to my home address. But till today, 10th October 2016, I am yet to receive the A119.

Logged a ticket to GB. Waiting for their reply. I am just wondering what is the longest period you guys has been waited for your good from GB.

it's still too early to ask about that. shipped on 4th october, and today is 10th october.. that's about 3 - 4 working days..
You should check next week..

Just check if the tracking code starts with GEHK****** then it's Kerry Express... Usual takes 7 days from shipped date...

Track it using Kerry Express HK website or ABX Express website...

yes motion detector for car park, any motion will start record depends on your setting too, example the 1440p vs 1080p is different for motion detection as below, depend what you need:

For a 1440p video, the camera will lock the current whole file, and save it under
MOVIE\RO.

For 1080p 60 fps mode, the camera will lock and save a 35-second file (15 seconds
before the button was pressed and 20 seconds after) and saved under the movie\EMR
subdirectory and as a copy in the MOVIE directory.

for power bank can use xiaomi 20000mah highest battery already and cheap also RM 99 each and work around + - 44 Hours full charge (depends on the battery too)

i not think this can work due to A119 only need 5V and 1A, power bank most suitable for 5V 1A output.
this ODB if come out 12V then i not think can use.
