If u wanna upgrade from kit but got limited budget ,try to look for 2nd hand Canon 24-85 F3.5-F4.5 USM ,its a nice lens ,2nd hand worth around RM600+

If compare this to Kit lens (17-55) I would suggest u stick to kit lense.

You're simply getting a 'kit lens' of a different brand

yea just stick your own kit lens, until u can afford more....maybe a 28-80mm f2.8 would be nice...

price of 28-80 f/2.8 can buy 30 x kit lens

yesterday see the 70-200mm F4L and F/2.8L side by side
the F4L like kecik miao stands beside the f/2.8L

long time no come to this thread Hi ac98!! just wondering if i wanna to purchase my third lense (owned 75-90mm and 18-55mm) which will be more suitable? in terms of wide angle , low apperture, perhaps sumthin like the nikkor 50mm 1.4f??

Perhaps u can consider getting the 50mm f1.8, it's a fast prime lens and cheap... If you have the moolah, then by all means go for the f1.4...

lol , F2.8L is big and heavy lah ... ,70-200 F4L size would be just nice for me ( I'm loving it)

though not so advisable but I still think EF-S 17-55mm F2.8 IS USM is a nice choice for 1.6x ,and 24-105mm F4L IS USM is a good rounded lens .
