when to use

fill-flash, rear sync flash?? or jsut leave it on auto it will work??

ps. can someone teach me how to remove red eye in photoshop

The questions of red eye removal and fill-in flash has been addressed too many times here already, use the search function to search for their topic. And ... this is a topic regarding Canon products, not tutorial.

As far as Canon websites are concerned, the ONLY prosumers are the Powershot Pro1 and the G-series. Some Canon websites call the S3 IS 'High End' compact digital camera. Whatever they are, a point-and-point digicam is a point-and-point, they're STILL not DSLRs ...
