No offence taken at all Eiraku I'll only go in-depth with devices I have actually laid hands on (be it bought or borrowed)

Moving along, my Crius Plus arrived this morning! As promised, waqi935, here's my initial thoughts on it. Click on pix to enlarge.

user posted image

Very clean and sharp machining. One small niggle...burrs in the postholes, easily toothbrushed out during washing.
Edit: By "sharp machining", I did not mean that there were sharp metal edges. I meant that it was neat, smart and tidy machining (as in "He's a sharp dresser.")... bad ambiguous choice of word there.
user posted image

Slapped a simple SS316l 3mm ID spaced dual on it. Darned cam wouldn't focus on coils...sorry!
user posted image

Wicked, juiced and atop my Triade. No leaks. Looks pretty OK.

Vape impressions after 1.5 tankfuls of my ADV at usual wattage:

Balanced flavor, despite a slight bias toward the middle notes and less of the upper-middle notes. I'll try raising the coil later on by 1mm more to see if I can get the same "sparkles" of layered flavors (which come from the upper-middle and high notes of my ADV) that the Tornado produces so easily. I have a feeling that with more tweaking, it is possible to achieve. Overall, it's a very decent vape.

With the bottom AFC wide open and top AFC shut, it runs warm @ 42.5W, it is a very slightly restrictive toke to me. The heat level is about the same as the Tornado's at 65-70W. With both top and bottom AFC wide open, it's a slightly warmish-vape. The top airflow works on the same principle (and also resembles) that of the Tornado. Minimal decrease of flavor with top AFC wide open, no noticeable decrease with it 2/3 open. Note: this may vary with the level of flavoring used in the juice.

Misc thoughts:

The 510 driptip does not sit flush with the topcap, but that can be easily remedied with a bit of sandpaper work. My other driptips sit flush on it. All in all, I am satisfied. The atty is very easy to build, wicking is super-easy, the o-ring resistances of the AFCs and fill port are way better than the Tornado's (which are too tight), and it is a cleanly built device. One just have to be aware of the o-rings of the glass tank which tend to stick to the glass. They're small and an o-ring could "follow" the glass tank when washing, and drop off. The included hex screwdriver is way nicer to use than an L-shaped Allen key.

The VCMT clone should be arriving on Thurs/Fri. If I find it worthwhile, I'll do a short posting on it. So many RTAs out there...they're starting to all look the same  biggrin.gif

Thanks for the detail review. Already in my cart for the next purchase. rclxms.gif

First, I was considering Griffin 25 but most said easy to leak even close the juice channel when refilling..

Next is which tank for my nano. hmm.gif Right now considering the Goblin Mini V3.

Ni is hazardous exceeding a certain temp yes (which is kinda low, thus the no dry burn rule). Ti is too, but the threshold is higher (hence dry-pulsable). SS ALSO gives out toxic HexaChrome, but only at welding temps/melting point (which we never really reach, unless you short a coil hotleg until it melts.

Like everything else, use those three by the specs and they're pretty much harmless. Though Ni's extreme softness and the fact that it's not dry-burnable makes it a hassle (at least for me) to use for TC.

As for the wash SS with water part, that's just to clear out carbon particles that gets released when the SS oxidises. Sure, it's bad but it's a millionth to a magnitude smaller than all the carbon we get by just breathing while walking in the jammed up KL streets.

People usually wash it off anyway cause it makes the coils clean again... like we do with normal kanthal coils... so the point is pretty moot.

But yeah, one step at a time. Myself I only ventured into TC this year myself (after years of vaping) so taking your time is really not a problem. TC does help extend cotton and battery life though, which is really helpful.

Ahhh... I really need to start learning then. Lipo tends to have short life span. Mine and another 2 friend VT200 battery also sot sot dei already.

Hmmm. No BT and mobile app control, not interested.

2A charging sounds dandy and all, hopefully they're implementing it without affecting overall battery health as batteries, especially dumb ones like our 18650s, don't like to be stress charged. Lipos can come with their own protection circuits though so it wouldn't matter.

That SS update sounds nice though, and it's quite generous of Evolve that us 200 users are getting it too.

6oLsh0i_6o0z3 Glad you enjoyed it. Will try to keep a steady stream of them going, but being the thrifty vaper that I am, updates will be... well... slow.

waqi953 The GMv3 looks like they have fixed most of the crap that plagued the v2, so it should be nice. I don't see the touted new JFC anywhere in it though, so that's a con. Whoooops it's there. Must have missed it somehow. Now I'm *sure* I'm getting one myself.

Another option would be the new Steam Crave Aromanizer Supreme Lite (fuuuuh). Think "improved Bellus" and you'll get an idea of what it is. Plus, it's not huge like the old Supreme was (23mm), and ALSO comes with an extended tank (you need to buy the GMv3 extension saperately IINM).

Hmmmmm moar Deenays. Henjoice Bro! If it's anything like the VT133 size, it should pair perfect with your V2.

Alamak...i had misspelled yr name, reversing the 5 and 3 when summoning doh.gif sorryyy.

Yes u r right..the Griffin 25 leaked for one main reason: the one I received had very poor machining tolerances. Maybe it was just an aberrant lemon, or maybe inconsistent quality is consistently in the newer batches, I dunno. A vape brudder wanted to see if he could make it work so I passed it to hm during raya b4 he went back to KK. After a week, he whatsapped me about the atty saying he felt like "nak baling kat pilak" biggrin.gif

Anyways I still have a Griffin 25 spare parts kit with drip tip adapter from FT...will just keep that. Maybe the o-rings can come in handy for other attys.

In any case the Crius Plus is definitely of much better quality and the machining has tight tolerances; it's a keeper and not for throwing at anyone! biggrin.gif BTW, the JFC should be closed when refilling. I left the atty filled with juice, AFCs wide open, JFC closed overnight in a KFC coleslaw container to catch any juice...and not a single drop leaked out. Me happy!

Hmm @ Goblin Mini v3....I don't intend to get that atty for the time being...will ask around to see if anyone I know is gonna buy it. If I can borrow one for a day, it'd be interesting to see how it performs. No doubt...it should look very nice on yr VT75 nano!

So far the people who got it first, their impression is good. Hope came up end of the month before shoopee free shipping ends. Cannot spend anymore this month for vape stuff.

Just finish setting up the profile for my DNA75. Going start using them fully, tomorrow. Yeay!!

Very cool! Maybe u could share yr profile settings with other DNA 75 users in here, esp those who are new to the chip eg snake1983? U guys could then compare notes/tweaks and make even better profiles.

What would be useful to share would be:

1) Chassis setup data (if the one provided isn't accurate enough, as per my VT133 - this includes mod resistance).

2) Battery curve data (25R5? HG2? 30Q?).

You CAN run calibrations for both if you want to though (batt cal recommended as not all batteries are born the same) but at least the mod resistance check requires either a bridge-soldered carto, a modified atty or a pure copper resistance test pin... all of which which is a bit harder to setup/get.

Or you can wait for a few folks to get it and test it and take an average from a few readings (common consensus for my VT seems to be about 0.004 ohms).

And that battery calibration test lol... didn't really have a lot of automotive resistors close at hand (lols) so I cobbled up a 1(-ish) ohm test rig from my Fodi with some kanthal:

user posted image

And no, you *don't* want to run that test with "normal" coils. Not even at low wattage. You will definitely melt something or another (unless you're running at 5w, which is hardly "representative"... and would take a whole lot more time to finish anyway).

Bloody test ran for the better part of 4-5 hours (at 40w) before it finished (and allowed me to go to sleep). Also, it read a tad lower than the expected usual, probably because it was a fresh set of HG2s and I haven't had time to put a few charge cycles through them yet.

tested, firing instantly great mod JT firing got some delay but this mod is giving very accurate firing. so far impressive I haven't try any preset profile only on powermode and kanthal.

Solid built quality, much shorter than my cuboid and lighter. Got some difficulty to insert my battery in but able to insert just need to do it patiently and gently. It will break your wrap if you force in LOL I got a little scratches just minor though. Again the firing is what suppose to be not delaying ramp up. I'm pushing it 70w great vapor production and super nice intense clouds and flavours definitely better than my cuboid a lot Yes I mean a lot. I'm so satisfy with this mod seriously. Notice I got a black one haha brown is kinda too classic colors to me.

Why I pick this up over VT75 Hcigar, simple rules of thumb dual battery > single battery. also dual parallel somehow will extend your battery life even better So I will further test out the battery life how long it can last compare to my cuboid.

We're gonna nerd out on the DNAs indeed biggrin.gif

Haven't run any calibrations yet. Gonna wait till the 2 triplets of new batts go thru 5 cycles of charging. Those married batts are solely for use in the Triade...so I guess u could say they're modnogamous. Did I just invent a new word?? biggrin.gif

No they're not. They're triplets. That's a real bad case of incestuous polygamy right there... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Thankfully my Brown Korean Twins (sounds damn racist BTW) weren't tempted by the dark side and decided to keep themselves incestuously monogamous.

Have you heard about the stuff you need to do to keep 3 batteries married for the RX2/3 in 2-batt mode yet? Mooch is recommending that the involved parties take up swinging lol... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Mamma mia! Il tuo mod e bellissimo!! rclxms.gif I had the sneaking suspicion you'd get the black leather version...and i was right! Your preference for black mods is very consistent indeed LOLOL

Yes unfortunately tight batt fittings is a hallmark of Lost Vape..we have to be gentle and hit the right angle for proper insertion and removal.

Am glad you're satisfied with the performance....after u set it up, I think you'll enjoy it even more. Thanks for your thoughts on it.

I'm just guessing here...but I think DNA's battery efficiency is rather good. 3 batts last me 2 days of mixed normal and clouds bro clouds vaping style with about 3mm left on the battery indicator. This should improve as the batteries go thru more charge cycles.
