Serpent mini, single coil, great flavour but 2mls capacity. Maybe Tobecco Super Tank afterthat but generally, any single coil tank is low maintainence like the Uwell Crown v1
*
If you can stand not tipping it over (or wicking it just right so the juice is blocked from seeping out), I'd consider the 'Cado to be "low maintenance".

I mean I'm running duals on it (single spaced coils) and they can even run for a month straight without rewicking (on Naked100 juice anyway). Just needs coil cleaning with Q-tips every week or so (which is very, very easy).

And rebuilds are so effortless it probably beats my old Taifun GT. Only thing that might be an issue is getting the cotton right.

While the Avocado 24 has the flavour down to a pat, I wouldn't really call it pocket-friendly. Considering you have to put on a trapeze act everytime you go out with 'Cado.
*
Do what I do, get a small pouch for your belt. Keeps it upright everytime, all the time.

That said once you get the the amount of cotton for wicking perfect (hint: scottish roll, snug but movable) you really won't need that pouch and it should be okay on its side/upside down for longer periods of time... or at least that's how it works with the 22mm 'Cado (with no refill holes to lose vaccum to).

But even when not wicked properly, month straight is hard to beat... even if it's on a relatively "clean" juice. Also zero need to drain tank to tinker with coils/cotton.

On the flip side, filling is rather... involved even if there's no screws involved, at least on the 22mm. You'll need unicorn narrow tips, needletips, actual syringes... or you're SOL.

If it's an absolute emergency, you could always pull out one side of a wick to access the hole... but it's damn messy this way lol.

Does this battery last significantly longer than 18650? This battery seems rarer and not many mods use this. Worried about it going extinct.  sweat.gif
*
It's not *really* rare... BUT, decent brand name batts in 26650 IS kinda hard to get (and by decent I mean the big three: LG, Sammy or Sony).

What we DO have unfortunately are rewraps of only God knows what... some of which are good but they ARE rewraps so they can always change the crap under the wrap and nobody would notice (until mooch tests them again lol).

Also, spare 26650s are a pain to carry around. That's why personally I would stick to 18650s... but that's just me lol.

As for relatively compact 2x18650 daily driver, depends on your needs.

If you wanna splurge and don't mind needing a PC to tweak settings (eScribe): Therion DNA133.

If you wanna save a bit (and still don't mind needing a PC): HCig VT133.

If you want something almost as good as DNA (without needing a PC) and don't mind ordering online: Smok Cube Ultra.

If you want something cheaper and simpler (no PC - still online order only): Smok H-Priv.

If you want something decent (not really good but okay) that's EASILY available in local shops: Wismec RX2/3 / Cuboid.

So yeah... it depends.

A bit disappointed because for a brand new atty that's only one day old have to change one of it's parts.
*
At least issue solved with in-box spares. I do love my Hastur V2s RDA but that one needed o-rings swiped from a totally different atty (the Fodi) to make the cap anywhere near decently tight lol.

And it's an ORI Hastur too.

BTW, the TwoThirds, RX200 and 200s has new firmware out and they FINALLY have preheat now.

Now... if only Wismec (and by extension, JT/eLeaf) starts ACTUALLY fixing the main thing they actually need to fix (that 510), their stuff might even be half-decent now lol with preheat.

As it stands though, it's nice to have but not a deal maker when their 510s can be such a PITA. Even the one on my Pico has started to screw in deeper than usual... indicating the slow but sure failure of the rubber 510 "spring".

To be fair, I haven't been babying that Pico as I do my VT... after all it's my ADV and is thus accidentally dropped exponentially more simply because it's with me all the time.

@Eiraku Can i know what is actually preheat?
*
You can set the mod to fire at say 80w for 1 second (this is adjustable) before dropping back to your normal set wattage (say 50w). Useful if you're running coils with considerable ramp-up (like Claptons or Aliens) as the preheat will help offset the ramp-up.

*
Kanger Cupti/Cupti 2, JT Egrip 2 and Artery Summa. Also the older Nebox, but that one is more a lunghit AIO as it's got no adjustable airflow.

Oooooor you can just use a Pico with a mini tank. Not much bigger and a lot more flexible (even if the Cupti/Egrip 2 do provide an option to use external tanks with adapters).

GMv3 in da' hausssss.

First impressions:
- Solidly built.
- Much, much better thought out overall than V1 OR V2... it just makes a LOT more sense in use.
- Thick glass section (at least it looks like... vs the v2).
- 22mm it isn't... more like 22.5mm lol. I mean, you actually have to unscrew the battery cap, screw the GMv3 in AND THEN screw the battery cap back on for it to fit the Pico (no thanks to those protruding AFC levers).
- 2ml pfft. 1.8 is about right.
- JFC woooooooo.
- Comes with the weird antispitback thing unequipped.
- A decently sized velodeck with large holes.
- Spares galore (as always with Youde).

Now gonna build a pair of SS coils to see how it vapes.

Edit: Vapes gloriously. Possibly even edging my 'Cado (so very slightly) in pure flavour alone on a similar dual 9-wrap spaced 316 build. Also, not a drop of leakage thus far... though there's very slight "gurgling" while I'm fiddling around getting the JFC right. Build and wicking is pretty simple too (at least simpler than the V2).

Cons? No "easy" access to deck while filled and it drinks like a German on Oktoberfest. That 4ml extension is sure gonna be handy soon.

Should be okay.

That said, my recommended "new" RTA would be the new GobMini v3: Comes with both merlin-style (offset velo) single deck AND a normal velo deck AND JFC (which the Serp doesn't have).

It's like a 23mm (-ish) Griffin Mini with better flavour. Drinks juice like an alcoholic on dual coils though lol.

Been using it for a few days now on the Pico and besides a little gurgling after topfilling (nothing a quick blow won't fix) it's been awesome so far.

0.46 ohm single contact SS coil, firing at 20w 430F on rx200s. Tank is a Crown if that matter.

TCR was set to 118 as suggested by djlsb as it is more accurate on the graph he test.

damn it, TC doenst give me a satisfying vape. not like kanthal.

my juice tasted slightly different from what i am used to as well.

keep hitting temperature resist and i can see it is firing between 6-12w only.

what do i do wrong here.
*
Try spaced coils. Those always work consistently for me, but yeah the vaping "experience" of TC SS is slightly different then on kanthal. Personally I like it, but horses for courses.

Must be the new wave of Note 7 explo-fires... apparently a replacement unit caught fire on a plane in the US. So everyone's probably a tad twitchy when it comes to transporting Li-ion/Li-Po batts around in the air.

Which reminds me, I'm running SDI 25R AND 30Qs exclusively... and wondering if I should be worried... considering the initial explodolicious N7 batts were all SDI.

The RBA one or the OCC one? The OCC one is currently quite popular within my work vape circle, and it works quite well... except for the 0.20 coils running a bit low sometimes. Keep to the 0.50 coils and you'll be fine.

mytaffeta Current high cap favourites: Sammy 30Q and Sony VTC6. Normal balanced drain/cap: Sammy 25R. High drain: VTC4.

That's about it. The LG HG2 choco is another batt to consider for high cap... buuuuut the current batches get hotter wayyy faster than either the Sammy or the Sony so that's that.

Also the current SDI/Note 7 explodomania... I'm still on my 30Qs and 25Rs and there's no news whatsoever of exploding Sammy 18650s... but it's worth keeping an eye out for.

The current crop of exploding "replacement" Note 7s suggest that it's not SDI's fault to begin with though.

So far about a week or less. Haven't seen any of my folks go beyond a week... but they're on local gunk juices so that's that.

Not bad tho.

I heard some can run their OCC up to like 3 weeks on quality juice. That also depending on ur vaping style.
*
Not bad really for OCCs.

Personally I can get a month or so (between rewicks) from my 'Cado and so far about 2+ weeks (still running so no end tally yet) on my new GMv3. Of course, both on dual spaced SS316, Kendo cotton and Naked100 juice - which is probably the "cleanest" juice I know of do far.

All vaped DTL, TC 460f at 50w.

So yeah, 3 weeks+ on an OCC is really good.

Also, seems that Reddit has a LOT of love for the Supertanks, including the new Velocity RTA Supertank.

Still alive and vapin'... just nothing much to report.

Except maybe that the GMv3 - thanks to its solid performance and a top filling system that doesn't really leak, thanks to the modified AFC and brand new JFC - has more or less replaced my 'Cado as my to-go ADV tank on the Pico.

The 'Cado is still soldiering on as my primary backup though.

At all no lah... but magnitudes better than the v2 for sure.

As long as you do the normal "blow-after-refill" thing to clear the wicking chamber of errant juice (and keep the AFC / JFC closed while refilling), you should be fine.

Flavour is top too, at least with the anti-spitback thing not attached.
