900..ok.

With proper engine oil change and maintenance, the chain will last much longer.

Signs of possible weared timing chain are:
1. Engine rattles when idle..even after service, plug change and coil checked.
2. Engine misfires.

Yup, exactly what happen.
Another indicator the rpm a bit low compare to before. With aircond around 900rpm and no aircond around 650rpm. And suddenly it will as low as possible until almost die during idling.

Try one thing. Open up the air filter, try clean the throttle body. See if it helps.

Only P2 SC can check error code? Any outside workshop can do it? By the way so far no error signal light on appear at the meter cluster.

Only SC has it the scan for error code.

Have you get the car to your normal mechanic shop to check first?

Before suspecting the timing chain, low rpm can be also caused by:
1. spark plug(s)
2. spark plug coil
3. map sensor
4. injector?

Hardly a timing chain be spoiled with over-rev as the engine has cut-off.

Will consider to check the map sensor and injector. All spark plug new and coil verified in good condition.

Yup, I have checked with my two mechanic that I use to go. Things that trigger the timing chain was loud rattling sound during idling and disappear after start to move or put some revv. Both confirm through hearing (using stethoscope and metal rode) the source of the rattling was from the timing chain. Rootcause still unknown. Might only the tensioner got issue or the plastic guide. But both do not have confident to do the job. Since need to open the cover might as well to change the whole set. I got feeling the chain already elongate due to the issue and the gear teeth might have wear off heavily.

i wonder what they can do with facelift for alza. as passo sette has been discon in Japan, there's no donor model to refer to. The neaerest could be daihatsu mpv concept (i forgot what name it is), or Cayla (cheapo seven seater based on Ayla aka Axia). Or Perodua could be design in house since they successfully design bezza.

the remaining piece of puzzle is the engine deployment, next gen of alza (or it's replacement) should be powered by 1500cc engine, and i dont think perodua will keep on 3SZ-VE, hence the next thing to come will be 2NR-VE, which is the same family engine as sienta & vios, will UMW allows such deployment? it's quite a piece of puzzle, imagine buying myvi 1.5 and you getting the same family engine like vios. rclxm9.gif

hey guys, need help. My 4 years alza is always wet on passenger front whenever it is raining. What could be the cause? read online saying that due to wiring by car accessories.

Anyone has this problem?

Seems like many people had this issue including me. I run mine with Yokohama tyres also same. SC swapped tyres and even RMA absorber. Problem still there.

Mine currently pending on HQ to diagnose. I deal with PJ SC.

Ok feedback. Issue still there haha. They even change rear axle arm for me. My SA also say his got this issue. Not sure sinkalan me or not. But my muscle memory used to it already.

By the way, my aircon, if i left my car idle few days. I start the car , the aircon clutch kick in has a noise like "krak". SA also told me it's normal, it's corrosion and rust from clutch. Is this common?
