No la.. you can use mineral / semi / fully. My knowledge, fully can use UP TO 10k mileage, it is UP TO. actually can be more. A frequent change of engine oil is good as well as our engine using timing chain.

Check the oil condition at 5k, then after that 7k and 8k and 9k.. if it is very 'black' or not good or you feel the engine lacks power or noisy, it is better to change.

last time using a brand 'Nxxx' due to did not prepare the oil, jialat, so heavy... another brand Nixxx, after 3k reduce power liao...so no more using that.
Another brand is Lexxx, the first round is good, the next round somehow it is no good.. so change early to other.

I am not expert technically for engine nor the oil. as long as it maintain good condition as well as quite / not rough after some time usage, it is good enough.

*also got to know that the new myvi using 0W-20, not sure is fully or not..winter liao.

Dear my fellow colleagues
Based on your experience, what is the ideal best tyre choice for:
- budget conscious, with good mileage
- no limit budget

coz perodua sc doesn't have 5w30 full synthetic, they ma tell you alza cannot use fully lo. their 5w30 is semi, but it can last 10k mileage. i'm not sure whether alza is suitable for 0w20 though. can have a try on 0w20 for once if you daring enough. new perodua dual vvti engines recommended to use 0w20, though 5w30 is usable as well.

there are many choices... i go for quiet tyres with good grips wet & dry. now using XM2. So far okay with 40k dah using it.

good mileage depends how you drive, condition of usage as well as maintaining good alignment, balancing plus tyre pressure.

Some shops recommend good mileage tyres but they will have harder compound and it will be harsh, not comfortable as well as noisy.

my normal usage is about 50k km average which is about 2 years plus.

i am using 195/55 since the change from the stock (sime 185/60).

195/55 is better somehow where the sidewall is 'harder' compared to the 60. the 60 may have a bit comfort ride, but since our alza stock absorber is not hard, so 55 would be better.

195 is just additional 1cm 'touching' the road surface, overall better.

No need to mention the brand / tyre compound, the xm2 or even other brand definitely better than the stock.

Ya...you are right, after change from 185/60 to 195/55 can feel it more comfort to ride. Btw, I'm using brand continental. Next change definitely will choose back 195 instead of 185.

usually alza won't be that long waiting, and there will be a cosmetic update for alza in the pipeline, not sure whether they will update the engine or not. since 3SZ-VE engine is dated and only alza is using it.

I think you mean when you use remote to lock and unlock the car.. if yes, just install buzzer.

Also take note the to make sure the 'lubang' they use during the installation is close tight, else rain water will sip in to cabin.

I think they put in a 'longer' absorbers and coil springs and maybe other suspension parts too. just like the rally cars.

Cons wise i am not sure, since all suspension different, alignment also different. It has higher center gravity level though, so drivability maybe impacted to some extend i think.
