Hi bro
I also wanna change my tyre...have done my survey on the price for 195/55/15

conti cc6
lowest rm150
average rm175

michellin ps3
lowest rm230
average rm250

still in dilemma to choose
why do u want to change car..need extra space?

Just done mine bro. Go with conti cc6 for 195/55/15, price at RM 160 included cost for GST and balancing. Top up RM 20 for alignment. For far CC6 look ok to me quite stable and silent.

My alza warranty period was over. So I decide to look for a normal service at outsider workshop.

As far as I can remember, the engine oil (Perodua Semi Synthetic Engine Oil 5W-30) that I used to change at perodua service center is gold color bottle. However, the engine oil provided by the outsider workshop is blue color (not silver or green) bottle.

I did asked the mechanic about the difference of both clour. He explained, no different for both because gold bottle only can get in perodua service center. Outsider workshop only can get to buy blue bottle in the market. So I would like to know is it true?

The mechanic also told me, Perodua Semi Synthetic Engine Oil 5W-30 is not recommended to change at every 10k instead it should be changed when reached 7k for better protection and performance of engine and timing chain. So how long u guys change ur engine oil after end of ur warranty? If blue bottle when should change? 10k as well?

mine semi change every 10k and use the cheapest 5 litre bottle semi i can get at tesco, buy 2 5 litre bottle at tesco can use 3 times to service alza since alza use 3.2 ltr iinm

but if you feel comfortable change at 7k, no problem

Do u mind to share me the semi engine oil brand that you bought at Tesco? How much u bought? Same as 5W-30?

2 things, new version allow more transmission fluid replacement when performing drain and fill which is about 2. 8l. Old version allow 2.2l.

Another thing is the dipstick location. Older version has the dipstick at the back which is nearer to the firewall. Newer version dipstick is located in front, which is almost in line with engine oil dipstick.

Thank you bro....

Got light for emergency button? 3 years driving didnt notice got light there..later tonite will check out..hehe

Btw anybody have rattling sound around the back area.. I cannot pin point where exactly the noise but is somewhere between the boot bulb and the left rear seatbelt.
*
Haha..appreciated if you could help me to verify whether emergency button equip with light or not as once i notice it already like that.

About the rattling sound around the back area, it do frequently happened at my Alza too. I suspect the sound from the rear seat belt behind driver seat (either left or right). I used to pinned my rear seat belt with the pin holder that designed next to the rear seat and result turn better. You may consider for a try.

Previously i was changed my car spark plug at Perodua Service Center with the model of Iridium spark plug during service mileage of 80,000km.

If not mistaken, the staff from perodua service center did mentioned to me this type of spark plug can last for 100,000km only need to change. So my next change for the spark plug should be at 180,000km right?

Ya.. my one 2010 till now... still okay.  parts are affordable for Alza.  Just need to maintain well just like any other cars.
for me i don't feel any diff with iridium... now using platinum only but it is the same.
yes, it can last UP TO 100k km.. but in between like every 20k or 40k best to check the condition of the plugs. if not good, have to change also.

thanks

Thank you Kiefer, as after the major service i longer send my car to service center anymore. So have to monitor by myself closely now.

No prob... what i can share these normal items to 'monitor'

1. EO & OF - Fully syn about 8k to 9k interval
2. ATF & ATF filter - every 20k
3. Radiator coolant - about 20-25k or 1 year (using distilled water & toyota coolant)
4. brake pads & disc. - checking fluid level too periodically
5. absorbers (check when doing alignment every 8-10k)
6. air filter (change if needed when checking)
7. rear brake shoes (when changing 2x front pads)
8. Spark plugs (platinum 20k)
9. battery water if you using normal batt.
it is all depends on how much you drive.. some in town, it uses like just 100km per month... some travel long distance.. some jam daily.. so the mileage and period will need to consider.

I knew some owner will change engine oil at 10k km but that is like 2 years !! hahahhahaa
*
How about cabin filter? Necessary to change on every 50k Km or other? I checked back my service log...SC staff had changed it twice, 1st time at 10K KM second changed at 50k KM.

i am using 195/55 since the change from the stock (sime 185/60).

195/55 is better somehow where the sidewall is 'harder' compared to the 60.  the 60 may have a bit comfort ride, but since our alza stock absorber is not hard, so 55 would be better.

195 is just additional 1cm 'touching' the road surface, overall better.

No need to mention the brand / tyre compound, the xm2 or even other brand definitely better than the stock.
*
Ya...you are right, after change from 185/60 to 195/55 can feel it more comfort to ride. Btw, I'm using brand continental. Next change definitely will choose back 195 instead of 185.
