hi there... Dark Ruby Red Pearl 1.5 TC owner reporting in.
Collected the car early this week and have been driving for the past 2 days. Haven't push the car too much as i always subscribe to the mindset that we need to let the internal to burn in a bit before pushing. So far everything good except HU can't detect the USB thumb drive that i connect on the USB front (below the HDMI). Apart from that i think all else should be ok for now.

One thing i don't like is the door, so hard to open due to the one level open to the next level open. Sometimes park in tight spaces, it makes it very inconvenient to open as i will be worry that it is hard to control how wide i can open without hitting the other car beside.

Also noticed the engine is not as quiet as i would had prefer and also engine bay is rather hot. Think i read somewhere in another forum abroad saying engine bay for turbo engine variants for our civic is rather tight and hence why it is always hot.

Anyway feeling great to have this car after 11 years of Myvi biggrin.gif

Oh BTW... i booked my car 2 weeks before Raya holidays and ya got my car this week. So i am rather fortunate to to get my car quite fast. Thank God! thumbup.gif

For your USB, recheck the format.

For your door, it is up to personal preference.

Engine whether tight or not, surely will be hot. If it is not, something is very very extremely wrong. No need to have a hair of worry on it, just drive it even when outside is 40C. It still won't explode.

Congratulations on your new car smile.gif

I'm surprised some get faster than others.

When i made my booking, i was conscious of the long waiting queue of 2-3 mths that i heard from others and forummers, hence i asked the SA and he told me which color was best selling and the waiting time. And i happened to take the Dark Red Ruby Pearl which was not very high in demand so at that point he said he can try to push within a month's time. This week when i collected the car, he said lucky for me as i book the car early and at the point when not many people were interested in that color. Now the dark red has a waiting queue of 2-3 mths doh.gif

Hi all, new here, just joined the club smile.gif
I got my TC-P on 29 June, let me share my ownership experience thus far.

Problem detected:

1) Gap between rear bumper and the car boot not even. It was perfectly fine during the time I collected the car, it might be due to heat. I brought the car to USJ express SC for rectification, they managed to resolve it. I checked the test car also, the gap not even too!!! So do check yours from time to time, the gap might not even over times with continuous exposure to hot sun. CKD common issue I presume.
2) Car alignment is off to the left. It is common problem for new car. SC resolved it during 1k service.

Driving impression:

1) The CVT is silky smooth, comparable to VW DSG, but just it eliminated the turbo kick.
2) NVH is much improved compare to 8th generation civic. I owned FD and FD2R before. Direct comparison is FC NVH much better (ok, please drop the FD2R for comparison). But still, FC engine noise intruded into the cabin once rpm over 3k, this is pretty bad.
3) Slight turbo lag …. agree?
4) It doesn’t feel like Japanese car anymore, this car feels more solid, but quality not at Conti level yet.
5) Braking power is so linear; have to apply more force all the way down to the brake pedal. No direct ‘bite’ feel.

Query to other members:

1) How to off the headlight once it is ON automatically? That might be a way, but I haven’t discovered it yet? The off button at the signal stick only works when the car is stopped? Please advice.

Just get u guys opinion on the rear passenger seats.
The both end (or the side) of the backrest was made of plastic instead of the usual cushion in fabric/leather.

I personally feels it is a bit of a turn-off...paying >100K for the car but they dun even get this part to be cushion.

For passenger, this may be a bit uncomfortable, especially in our hot climate.

Me yet to get the CivicX...planning for 4Q only buy

yea i realized that too.
if you feel turn off just cause it is made out of hard plastic and really prioritize that on the basis of buying a car, you should consider other brands instead. hmm.gif
