QUOTE(Zot @ Feb 6 2018, 05:45 PM) What you need sunroof for? I bet you most likely will never use it. You need to tint it some more. The problem with sunroof is that you need to open and close it at least once a month. Need to put light oil also. If not will jam and need expensive replacement. Rubber seal exposed to sun will no t last long either. Possible source of leak. haha... just for the sake of having an open top when cruising in highland like Genting or Cemeron. It might not be practical or will be problematic like what been said but it is a dream accessory for me to have. At least have to "been there, done that"...haha... |

QUOTE(LongExp @ Feb 6 2018, 11:30 PM) Great news!!! At least one more option to consider other than Forester. QUOTE(ImiR @ Feb 7 2018, 08:49 AM) For dashboard, it depends on which XV variant you are comparing too. 2.0i-P looks better and XV2 2.0i-P looks even better. I have only my first gen XV to compare to. |

QUOTE(littlefire @ Mar 15 2018, 04:06 PM) I think Japanese designers usually like boxy shape as it will maximize the inner space.. Yes, I think the interior will be more or less same as Ascent. Subaru like to use almost the same interior across all its models. Some insider mention the exterior is like a mini Subaru Ascent.. Hopefully the turbo engine retains, as previously some mention Subaru might drop it.. https://www.torquenews.com/1084/more-new-fi...-details-emerge |

Not look as sporty as I wish. The rear of Accent looks nicer.

just curious - is the turbo models (FXT, WRX, STI) easy to maintain over the long run compared to the normal non-turbo models?

QUOTE(Zot @ Mar 29 2018, 04:17 PM) Maintain is not difficult but now you have turbo portion to be regularly service. That is why it is more costly. if we just send back to Motor Image for regular service (albeit more costly compared to outside), then it should be ok right? I think hard to find a workshop to service Subaru turbo in Johor Bahru. Singapore maybe a lot. |

QUOTE(Amirkupak @ Apr 5 2018, 01:38 AM) I test drive hrv and xv yesterday. Xv really do well compare to hrv..i thought hrv is better, but im wrong..xv win in all aspect and very fun to drive. Buying it to my wife, but i think i will swap my car with hers coz subaru is so fun to drive. Hopefully she dont mind drive my honda city 😁 My wife just got a HRV too recently. The body roll is very much more than my first gen XV. But the HRV steering is much lighter, more suitable for lady drivers, can steer without much effort especially when parking the car. First gen XV wins only in handling and ride, most other aspect lose to HRV. But I think XV2 is an entirely difference car. |

QUOTE(littlefire @ Apr 5 2018, 09:14 AM) HRV is using electric power steering same as latest Xv2 and forester, besides that it is also lighter due to 2WD. Yes, congrats on the new ride. New gen is always better. Thought of upgrading to new Forester before it was reveiled. But a bit undecided now after seeing the "new" look. maybe hoping for Ascent to be available in Msia instead. My family tested HRV, city and civic before going for Xv, for us we dont care about looks but safety first. My sister even dont like the steering feel, too light she said.. lol.. |

QUOTE(frankzane @ Apr 5 2018, 03:17 PM) The other choices for me is the rival brand Harrier or possible Rav4. The New Rav4 which is reveiled together with Forester is so much more stylish and modern looking. |

QUOTE(dirtyrat @ Jun 19 2018, 11:14 PM) Hi guys, upon taking delivery of the new car, you should check the wheel alignment. If they are not properly aligned, you can request for it to be aligned FOC. JB main MI branch let you do the FOC alignment during the first 1,000km service. do you guys send your Forester/XV for wheel balancing and alignment? If yes, straight out of showroom or after few thousand km? Grazie! |

I just notice there is a small area on my driver seat start flaking. My XV1 is currently 4.5 years, is the car leather seats come with 5 years warranty? Can claim against the flaking?

QUOTE(littlefire @ Jun 21 2018, 11:22 AM) If not mistaken, mostly able to claim within 60k or 3 years only.. same as leather steering... yes, will check with SC during my 100k km service due soon. The flaking is not serious. You may try your luck with SC, but better live with it or get leather seat workshop to change it if cannot tahan.. QUOTE(Zot @ Jun 21 2018, 11:29 AM) I remember my X-Trail last time only visible crack after almost 8 years. Never apply anything. Yes, XV2 is quite irresistible. Test drove my colleague's new XV2 during lunch time to and fro from makan place. The interior has been upgraded substantially. NVH also much improved although engine roar is still quite noticeable.
