QUOTE(kapitan @ Apr 13 2007, 01:13 PM) Difference of being arrogant and nuisance is just a very thin line. Looking back, you can never be sure of what he really said, as it was translated from spanish. He just said that "he felt some of the team members are not doing the best of their ability" if translated correctly. Sadly, many newspaper did not translate this and accused him of bashing his team. And did his teammate help him in 06 like Irvine or Rubens or DC for that matter? i doubt that. The main reason Fernando lost the Chinese GP was the wrong tyre choice by the team, but it was a known story in the paddock that Fisico should have blocked schumacher instead of passing fernando. I hate Apelonso from the start of 2006. I dont really mind he was ousting MSC cos thats show his real ability n renault was a good car. What I really hate about him started in mid season when the damper was being brought up. He started losing his cool and start a mouthful attack at his team mate, FIA for supporting Ferrari and all those bullshits. I think a drivers best asset is shown during races. You can see why I hate JV and DC cos they talk too much. For FIA supporting Ferrari.. well i have nothing against that, as I share the same POV as other teams On the Bahrain GP, i bet on Kimi to get pole. but for race day, it's an open guess. The reason that Ferrari and Mclaren was so suprised at Malaysia was that McLaren was CONVINCED that Massa and Kimi had nearly 4 laps more fuel at the start of the race than Lewis, who was in fact the heaviest of teh top four car. The fact that they pitted nearly at the same time suggest McLaren having gained a tenth to the Ferrari, so i think this will be down to tactics |

QUOTE(edison92133 @ Apr 13 2007, 04:26 PM) NO!they have the stupidest commentators in history of the sports (barring US Speed channel which is more lame) but at least Speed has less commercial. Astro has more commercial than a standard 2 hour movie on HBO |

I'd minus Kubica from that tho, he don't usually hold that pace during race day. This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Apr 13 2007, 09:55 PM |

I have a feeling that Fernando and Lewis can spoil Massa's party. BMW is quick, but not the race pace. IMO, they can get the best of teh rest

days of the rookies. But then again, we forgot that Lewis was with McLaren from the end of his GP2 career, which is much earlier than Fernando does. Thus like Massa is more attuned to the Ferrari than Kimi, he's more at home in the McLaren than Fernando does.

do you notice that the cars look short on telly? that's because starting this season, the FIA is broadcasting the race in a 16:9 Widescreen format, which TV2 don't bother to crop and just plonked the whole thing to our 4:3 TV sets

That's easy
1. They lower down the revs for racing because teh engine need to last two races 2. the more you push, the more the tyre will lose grip, thus drivers need to know when to push and save the tyres for the pitstop 3. Different temprature can also significant;y lower the times |

QUOTE(adrian0229 @ Apr 15 2007, 01:36 PM) 1. low the rev?i tot cnt chg anything? 1. Kimi did that in Malaysia to protect his engine from blowing2. if lik that...this means they din drive in 100% lo? 3. hmm...temp shd b juz a tiny factor imo... i dun think this is the reason....if u say fresh tyre hv better grid in qualy...then how they do fastest lap after so many laps where on that time tyre ord no grip rite? 2. they conservertively. I do recall in 05 where the Macca was so good on their tyres at Monaco that Renault who was chasing them totally used up all the grip and fell away. remember that year there were no chasing tyres 3. A cold track means lower grip. a too high temprature track means high abrasive = faster tyre worn out. And remember, fast laps are not only on tyres, but fuel loads also. The longer they are driving, the lower the fuel level, the lighter the car, the faster it will go, even if the tyres are losing grip. Fernando did just that during the second stint in Malaysia where he was being caught by Lewis. He was actually saving some grip for some fast laps near his pitstop window, which he did. |

Damn, I slept after the opening stint because I want to watch the RTM telecast, and missed that too. Just read race report
anwyays, good job from Lewis. he was always the faster driver this weekend, and because Massa won, it now means 3 ppl are sharing the lead with 22 points each! Afer practice I read that Fernando did not like the soft tyres, and looking at the lap times, he was more consistent on the harder tyres. Well, 4 weeks of waiting, it should be worth it |

I watched teh replay on Astro today, and I was dissapointed with the commentators.
I mean, during the closing stages of teh GP, the timing shows that Massa was leading Lewis by 7.5 sec. After a few corners later, he commented, "Massa is now 6.9 seconds in front of Hamilton. The lead is increasing!" WTF???. And "Raikkonen now is just 5 seconds ahead of Hamilton. He can catch him!". If he had saw the timing, Kimi was 3 seconds behind Lewis a lap earlier. Stupid crappy commentators!!!! Alonso: Lewis can win the title this season QUOTE After seeing his teammate reached the top of the podium for the third time in as many races, double world champion Fernando Alonso conceded that his teammate may win the title this season. "For sure he has a better understanding of the car, and he has the speed to do it", he said. "If he can keep this up, he can win the championship". Meanwhile Alonso conceded that it was his fault that he only finishes a dissapointing fifth place in the same race. "It was my own fault", he said. "I was having understeer and oversteer at the same time. But I feel that I can do much better in Spain". Added on April 16, 2007, 7:21 pmDC was so unlucky IMO. He was much faster than the whole midfield. Stupid car! This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Apr 16 2007, 07:21 PM |

Impromptu my foot! they are at the race track, with all teh timings in front of them. When the timing on the screen showed teh difference between Lewis and Massa is green (meaning Lewis is catching Massa, at a very fast rate), they said Massa is increasing teh lead. You don't hear that kind of remarks from ITV.

Fernando made a mistake. The aero regs on today's car are so bad that it's no way you can slipstream unless you have a straight line advantage already (like DC has).

QUOTE(Amanda85 @ Apr 17 2007, 06:53 PM) I think you guys have forgotten that it was Massa that helped developed teh car, and not Kimi, thus he has the most knowledge on how to drive the car. the same can be said with Lewis and the McLaren. That's why both are faster than their teammates. The problem here is Massa tends to make mistakes while Fernando drives intelligently, which is why Kimi and Fernando has the edge usually during race time. |
