So not compatible with our ac1900 by tmobile then? Haha

The T-Mobile AC1900 hacked into AC68U in theory can run stock ASUS firmware which supports AiMesh. However, its likely ASUS will update the CFE in the router once you update to the latest firmware. There are reasons where older ASUS firmware for the AC68U were removed from the official download site. Recent reports are that ASUS will prevent firmware downgrade in the future. Some units of TM1900 were reset back to the original firmware, unable to flash with new firmware, etc. Its to do with the ASUS hardware verification update.

Other then Aimesh, any other benefit to use Asus firmware? if non, better just stick to Asus Merlin. smile.gif

Merlin had posted that his firmware does not support non ASUS routers, including TM1900 hacks. Portions of the Merlin firmware uses ASUS closed source codes and you really would have no idea what ASUS will do in the future.

Just stay with the version that works and not upgrade.

Things is it will posibble revert back to T-Mobile firmware and not the Asus Ac1900 stock firmware. AC1900 stock firmware is support ai mesh. Not necessary ac68u firmware. Just wanted to test ai mesh.

Still dilemma to whether to gamble for ai mesh or end up getting bricked. 50 50 chances. Too bad ac66u not support ai mesh. My old ac66u laying in the cabinet after upgraded to 86u.

Router with "ASUS" Logo and "ASUSTec computer Inc." sticker at the back with "ASUS" FCC number is what Router? maybe need to ask RMerlin himself. smile.gif

Huawei WS880 which has same hardware and able to flash to Asuswrt-Merlin, confirm is not Asus Router. smile.gif

T-Mobile 1900 hack into the AC68U is not supported. That is why you need to hack the router to load stock ASUS or Merlin firmware. Plenty had been posted by RMerlin including his warnings etc.

T-Mobile 1900 is running on a special firmware. Do not believe you can flash an ASUS stock firmware without the hack. It is for all intents not an AC68U according to what had been discussed.

Why debating ac1900 ac68u?

Ac1900=ac68u=tm ac1900 (locked set)

Ac1900 is detune version of ac68u. Rest is all same. Only some component detune to lower down the cost for marketing gimmick.

T-Mobile is locked set version of ac1900.

The other reason is licensing payments to component vendors (firmware) for the AC68U which may be different for the TM1900 (specific OEM model made solely for T-Mobile). Of course would not be surprised ASUS will need to lock down (or seen to be actively attempting) the TM1900 to protect against IP claims from the component vendors.

after install ab-solution and enable on router, sportify free version does not work, disable the adblock then it will work.

you can solve it by whitelisting few server such as spclient.wg.spotify.com or community maintain whitelist host-list
