Guys..

Need help here..Was thinking to search around but not much info as stated by TS. My wifi keep disconnecting even when connected and using it for browsing and youtube by my kids. Initially I set it to dual 5 and 2.4 but since my kids tab and phone is older generation..unable to connect at all for 5ghz. I thought it must be the dual wifi that cause the unstable connection and I disable the 5ghz and only turn on 2.4. It is still the same and keep disconnecting after few mins..sad.gif. Have no problem with the desktop coz it is running on LAN.

I am force to use back the old Dlink DIR615 in order to make sure all the wifi connection at home is stable.

Need help and suggestion here.

Thanks in advance

i think i have the same problem as u..

My whole family phone when connected to wifi 2.4 or 5ghz,when open youtube,it will loading but need wait for 30seconds for the video to be load...then
I need to turn off my phone wifi and reconnect back to have smooth connection, but after 1-2minits..the problem arise again..need wait 30seconds for video to be load..same goes to instagram...i scrolling scrolling, suddenly it loading and have to wait 30seconds for the pictures to be loaded again..then after few minits..the problem occur again..then wait 30seconds again..then smooth again..then need wait 30seconds again...it like the line sent data to server but the server slow to respond to our phone..all apps is the same..we have to wait a while to get smooth connection, then after few minits..we have to wait a while again to get smooth connection..
my router is rgx4400..do u guys think is router fault?or some settings need to be adjusted?
wifi on laptop no problem, lan cable on my desktop no problem..but only phone wifi got problem..

I must say I don't think I've ever had that problem. I use an iPhone 6s and connect to the RGX4400 at 5Ghz. The RGX4400 is actually at a coffee shop so the longest I've used it is 2 hours. No problems so far. The difference from stock configuration are:
• Turned off ipv6. So running ipv4 only.
• Disabled IPTV (Owner won't mind since there's no TV connected)
• Disabled TR069
• Changed QOS to "Web First"

In that case, better complain and get a new router. Ask for the TPLink if possible. The DLink 850L also not that great.

The problem you mentioned happens on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? Or just 2.4GHz.

I have the same router (RGX4400) and have no problem with all wifi devices.
I have configured HyppTv on wifi as well. No problem on disconnection but have some buffer during night time watching.
3 mobile devices on wifi (5Ghz) - no problem
4 mobile devices on wifi (2.4Ghz) - no problem

Since still under warranty, better report and get a replacement unit.

Yeah, maybe a bad unit. Hope you get the TPLink for replacement. Quite good.

I have the same problem too.. Did you get yours replaced?

I wonder if both silver colour Fibre Termination Unit and rgx4400 are problematic

I was at the restaurant that uses the RGX4400 earlier today. Did a test on 2.4Ghz. Browsing seems fine. No stalling that I can discern when loading a website. Speedtests however shows the difference between 2.4 & 5GHz. They're on UniFiBiz 100. Not many people when I was there.

I actually bought a TPLINK Powerline, TL-WPA4530 KIT just yesterday, and the same symptom persist.. I guess this innacom rgx4400 can't handle the loading that is coming from 6 devices in one go

Time to get a router with MIMO capability? But around rm800 each..zzz

Shouldn't be a load problem. The RGX4400 at the restaurant handles the crowd just fine. Tonight I'd estimate at least 10-15 people were on their phones. It's more crowded at lunchtime and I've never had probs. Dunno what could be wrong. The RGX4400 is 2x2 MIMO btw, i.e.: AC1200. Maybe it's their antennas.

300mbps TIME?

Is the 5GHz on the RGX4400? As AP only or routing as well?

OK, fair enough, at first I thought it was RGX4400. So excited to see it at 300/300.

Over the weekend we were watching shows on Iflix.
On the iPad watching 1 show and on the the HyppTv box watching another show.
Watching on the iPad is smooth, but watching on the HyppTv box buffers a lot.
Is it because the HyppTv box is not good enough to handle the connection?

This is both iFlix on iPad and iFlix on STB right? I've seen my STB iFlix buffer once a while but not very often. I think could be the wifi connection, for me anyway, because my STB is in my living room which is furthest away from my wifi router. The HyppTV box, granted, is not a very powerful box but it probably has HW video decoding so it shouldn't be a CPU problem. I'll check it out later but I believe iFlix streams are not of very high bitrates. Also possible that it's increased load on iFlix's servers since it's free again for another year.
