Its okey, continue practising online, the more u do the better u'll be in understanding the online sim racing.

Download the replay upload by ryugan, watch the replay & see how close the battle 1-2, 3-4 & 5-6, its bumper to bumper racing. Watch me & maranello @ turn 4 from lap 24 to lap 35, its same situation with u & izznatta but i had to brake 1st to give him some room.

Its difficult to be fast for the 1st time, continue to practise & keep practising.

BTW, what happen to Edison, we are waiting u last night....lol

Mara, PM me the post race today. I'm outstation tomorrow until Saturday, server up already for practising @ Adelaide, its night racing, better reduce your graphic setting.

Congrats winners but ryugan shouldnt weave in and out on the main start/finish straight dangerously just to block me after your 2nd pit stop. We had a fair race previously. I know i had a slower car and thats not a healthy way to win. We had good race but not clean. smile.gif

Sorry for not posting after the race last nite guys....had some urgent matters to attend to.

Qualifying was frustrating. I made an error on my second run and hit the wall when i wa s 0.3s up my previous time on sector 1. But im virtually glued with Madnoren in quali and side by side on the grid.

Whoa wut a race for me! I had a fairly good start this time. Since its was a side by side grid.

I must say that Red is a very2 fair racer. Looking back at the replay, he couldve just lunge in at turn 4 many times and leave my car in the dry.

Thanks to the spotter, i knew Madnoren made a pit stop and i knew instantly that i have to pit as well or i'll lose position. I managed to get in front of him by 4-5 seconds when i finally rejoined. But i had 2 pc lock ups and lost all my cushion.

Madnoren was already on my tail.

But i was trying my best to defend my line as fair as possible, reducing the possibility of touching as much as i can. But at turn 4 u can only do so much. There is basically 2 lines thru there. Thats why i stop him from really getting his car to enter the turn before me.

My car was never ever underneath me at all, all over the race. Same situation in L.Seca. I have to look into this. I didnt even touched the 1.27 barrier.

Lemme know if its too long.... blush.gif

TheXxBestxX - Relax bro....we all learn from experience....and practice when u can. nod.gif

Added on May 14, 2007, 1:42 pmPCcrazy - we missed you at the race! Ive got some pc lockup issues i need to look into for a smoother race later on....

Roger that Evo,

Well when it comes to weaving, to me u can weave as many times u like. Fundamentally ure going to lose balance doing that. I would just wait at the back as u weave and dive in when u finally lose ur car balance. Basically its like closing the door on one side then moving over to the next shortly afterwards, giving the guy behind more options actually.

As the attacking car, you got to know where you want to pass so weave as u may, the attacking car shouldnt be intimidated.

As long as u dont weave with the opponent at the side though.

Just my two cents really.

IINM in F1 u can only move one time to block your opponent. Im not sure bout other series - doing a second block manouver already considered not fair (not cool)

Someone plz check other international rules, if not mistaken in VMS League, front driver can only change the car direction one time only to defend his position (plz correct me, maybe Kimi know in detail).

We take Sabelt & Ryugan as a case study;
if Sabelt want to overtake Ryugan using outside line, Ryugan can block him by moving to the outside line
BUT
if Sabelt change the direction from outside to inside line, Ryugan must stay outside line, he can't block Sabelt by weaving left right.

I saw both of them battle in 2nd & 3rd position in the starting lap & I know Sabelt feel a bit dissapointed with that, which make him drive so aggresive & bump ryugan (late braking) and also "libas" my car.....lol

I think we should add this in the rules. (but plz check other rules also).
Driver defending his position only allowed to change the direction one time only.

Passion is the key.

In most sanction races, you'll have to pay huge fine for that for dangerous driving especially in OW. Im sure most of you guys wont agree with me since this is sim racing. I just race for fun. smile.gif

To be fair to both sabelt and ryugan, and madnoren too, ryugan's weaving is not as bad but he couldve kept the outside line and brake late to close the door at Sabelt. Sabelt can try to get back to the inside line and try from there. Losing composure is not good (as ive courteously demonstrated to u guys back at eurospeedway LOL) and sadly madnoren is always the victim. sigh...

Added on May 14, 2007, 3:59 pmRed, the adelaide practice is daytime and the race is at nite? Is it possible to change the practice time to nite as well? I tried to do that offline but kenot.

Im fine with day pratice session...just curious....

I've long been discussing this with friends online and offline alike, I done research on this and it's obvious that the leading car has right to change lane only once. The car behind has obligation to watch for the front car since he has more views of the situation. The behind car should not attempt to brake into his same braking point since the front car was on the defense or using unusual lines. In other words the front car needed to brake way earlier than usual. The common problem is that "constantino" effect or shockwave will happen when following car predicts the front car is capable of taking the usual braking time. So following car please beware and leading car please give some room for the following car provided he manage to slot in just besides you.

Hitting people at the back to me is a no no. From side depends on the circumstances. A touch is okay no problem. But slamming the car to the kerb from apex thinking he has the right to the corner when a car is cruising besides is also a no no.

Oh, the incident regarding izznata and xxbestxx is a perfect show of racing accident. It's like what happen to Alonso and Massa. To me no need any punishment. But based on the replay, xxbestxx you had the car still in one piece and not continuing the race is not the right attitude. We don't do that in MSR. Furthermore simracing is not a game, it's a real deal where proffesional attitude must come into play. I'm dissapointed when I know you put a WTF on the chat board on the race day. Please we want mature racers. We will help you but first respect must be shown.

that one is one movement blocking not 'entire' line i cover (@ 1st corner). blush.gif
n that gives space to redline oso.

for me weaving left n right, after the attacking car overtook 'half/less' of ur car (side by side) (below 0.050 - 0.100 sec) ..while blocking da attacking car still @ behind of defending car.

u can see how kimi defend himself. blush.gif
