for each supp. card, can we get cash back of up to RM50 ?
*
Yes, if opt for separate statement.

Technically should not be, but under current practice this method works. So please don't go calling CS to confirm in case they close this "loophole".

Please justify 'technically should not be' as CS is the one who explained to me when I was applying that separate statement has separate cashback.
*
Product disclosure says:

Visa Signature Credit Card 6% cash rebate on grocery, dining and online transaction locally and abroad, capped at RM50 per month per principal account (excludes payments transaction via www.pbebank.com).

Note the cap per principal account and not per card holder. That's quite clear, no?

And previous posts have mentioned CS saying no separate cashback.

Hi all... for the recent cashback promo... if I spend online.... to get 6% cashback from the card.... will I still get the cashback on top of the online cashback I am supposed to get ?
*
Yes, but read the exclusions for the promo cash back.

The 6% standard covers everything online.

However, the promo cashback generally excluded utilities, insurance and government, even if paid online. Mobile, astro and telephone all ok based on previous campaigns.

i wanna know too. but i think the answer will be 'no'..
*
No, as it doesn't fall within groceries, dining or online.

Just curious, why do you prefer direct debit when online payment is also quick and easy?

Also, with online payments, you can time your payments better to qualify for promotional cashback too.

Absolutely agreed  thumbsup.gif , and you can plan and control your payment. Direct debit payment will sometime fall in difference date and can cause your CB over/under receive.
*
Just wanted to add that even if you want to keep your direct debit in place (for whatever reason), you can still make payments online to benefit from the cashback.

For example, I have a direct debit instruction with Digi (due to some rebate they were giving) but my balance with Digi is forever in credit due to over payments during promotion periods with my PBB VS. If your account is in credit, you won't be charged via direct debit.

Yesterday I paid RM200 to Digi to qualify for the RM10 promo cashback, plus 6% standard cashback. If I'm "short" of spending for a promo, I will also use Digi / Astro / Unifi as my back-up to hit the spending targets.

Note - normally you have to SMS to participate, so don't forget it.

LYN forummers usually post all the recent promotions here. But in case you miss out, check here:

The most current and popular one right now is:

For me? RM1,000 per week (spread across principal and 5x supplementary) on the dot to maximise CB. Hahaha.

Looks like each Principal card is entitled to the cashback right? I registered both my PBB VS and PBB WMC principals, and just need to remember to swipe tomorrow.

Can "NEW  PIN-enabled  principal  credit  cardmember" be interpreted as all new n existing cardmembers who has received the NEW PIN-enabled card (new or replacement)?
*
That's how I interpreted it, as this seems to be an initiative to encourage people to change PIN before 31 Dec as opposed to an acquisition programme.

Anyway, in the absence of clarity, I just sent the SMS and have spent RM20 on both my principal cards. If I get cb, it's a bonus.

Hi,

I am wondering if one can have 2 principal cards? I already have one but I need another one for CB, my partner has her own principal card. How can I get another principal?

Thanks.
*
You can have two DIFFERENT principal cards i.e. PBB VS + PBB WMC, but not 2 of the same type of card.

just applied for this card last week, but until now seems no news

how to know whether the application rejected or approved? Need call the service center or credit card center?
*
Call 03-2176 8118

I think there's a menu option for new card application status. They can check if your application has been received, and status etc.

Anyone having problems with 6% cashback for foreign purchases?  I had one insurance purchase through an online assistant and the transaction was not eligible for 6% cash back.

I called up the PBVS customer service officer and the officer said if there is any dispute can call them and appeal.  What I can conclude is as long as there's sms OTP generated then it's confirmed online transaction, else it may not be online even if the transaction is performed through internet.  But I didn't seem to receive any sms OTP for foreign purchases.
*
I have never had problems with foreign online purchases e.g. paypal, purchase of goods online etc. However, I have never purchased "services" like insurance overseas. Did you ask the CS what the MCC code was?

I did not ask, do online transactions have certain MCC codes?  If so then it'd be clear cut case.
Did you receive any sms OTP for your foreign online purchases?
*
For Paypal transactions, never. Trying to recall, Amazon and Itunes also no OTP. Oh, even when I paid my professional membership fees and purchased books (to a UK co), I didn't get OTP. However, all the above transactions received CB.

The reason I asked about MCC is just to check what they have on record. For example, I don't know if your foreign insurance company received your CC details but did a manual swipe (sorry, I don't actually know how these things work). Or if its something like Grab / Uber apps, where it *should* be like an online transaction, but actually its not (and hence, no cashback for those).

Sorry if this isn't very helpful.

What's even better is if you use the Shopback portal before you go to Lazada. Google and check it out - self explanatory.

1 of my eligible transactions was done prior to my SMS registration. Without that, I wouldn't have gotten the full cashback amount for Week 1 because I had planned to spend just about RM500 to get RM25.
*
I definitely swiped after registering and kept screenshot.

OK, just sent my e-mail too.

Have you ever had a promo cashback dispute before? This is my first time and I'm very nervous because I spent RM1,000 every single week during the past few weeks. Will be so disappointed if I don't get anything for all those weeks.
