Yeh, this morning I did some online shopping on Lazada for RM400+, then the balance I used to pay Unifi to hit RM500.

Just did another PBB application. I know PBB keeps extending this BT promo... But just in case, good idea to submit before it ends.

My gut feel is that this week's promo cashback will be exhausted quite quickly because of Monday's 12.12 online sales. I didn't dare go for the full RM1000 this week, and stopped at RM500 by Monday lunchtime. Will be interesting how early the CB pool runs out in the next few weeks because of year end and Christmas etc.

Safest for now is online bill payments after midnight on Monday and before shops open.

Good day all, I paid for TM bill via uobpayonline , however in the recent transaction history, there is no information at all regarding the transaction. Any idea how long does it take to show up?
Thanks guys.

When and what time did you pay? Did you get the e-mail "Approved" notification?

Normally if you do it at odd hours, you may have to wait 12 - 24 hours. Occasionally more than 24 hours, but that is quite are.

has anyone tried paying tnb via shopee method? is it reliable?

I recall 1 or 2 people reported in (maybe on other threads). I went to the site and it looks OK... But I'm a bit too conservative to go through it for bills. Waiting for it to become a bit more tried and tested.

yeah, hopefully can work. but need to know few variables whether shopee is eligible, transaction date, etc.

another matter is privacy issue since you're giving details to shopee n seller. how about trustworthiness?

then need to worry how fast payment is reflected in tnb account since some sellers promises SLA between 1-7 days, some 1-3 days. the payment is at seller's mercy laugh.gif

can try lo, and test test biggrin.gif
*
Yepp. Privacy is a huge issue to me, as well as control over payment timing. Ultimately, if anything goes wrong, there are too many variables to deal with - Shoppee, Seller, or Utility Provider.

Although I will try to max CB in whatever way I can, I won't be using the above. Plus... 6% normal CB on PBB VS is already very generous.

Just wanted to share a Christmas / New Year shopping tip.

I've been reloading 500 or 1000 in One Utama e-gift cards on Mondays when I have nothing else to spend on to get PBB VS 6% online standard CB plus 5% promo CB). The credit is loaded very quickly and can be used like cash at the majority of One Utama stores. Can even use at those tiny food retailers which normally accept cash only or CC above RM50.

Today bought 3k+ of Christmas presents from normal "retail" places which normally qualify for negligible CB (all those clothing places, make up, Mothercare, Toys R Us etc). Enjoyed lots of sale discounts, the 6% standard CB, and a high chance of 5% promo CB.

Not sure if other malls have a similar concept of preloading credit into a card online, but if they do, it's a great CB maximiser.

i didn't know they sell e gift card. how to transfer that to the physical card?
*
Go to https://www.oneshop.com.my - it is very simple. About 5 minutes after purchasing gift card, they send email with redemption code number and link. Amount gets credited almost instantly. Sometimes I choose all my stuff, check total amount payable, and buy the gift card online using my phone before I pay. For big amounts (like buying 2 pairs Nike shoes last week for RM1000), I will always check with the counter whether I can pay the full amount using One Card, then only buy if they say OK. Some retailers have certain weird rules.

During certain festive periods (like Hari Raya and a few others), they even gave rebate (think 5-10%). During those promos, you buy credit of RM100 and get RM10 extra! I maxed out like crazy, got all my family members to apply for One Card and bought the max number during those periods.

E-gift vouchers were only launched this year, so not sure if this generosity will continue as they become more popular. However, at least can still enjoy the 6% online cashback by reloading the card.

this?

after buying it will send email on how to transfer to the physical card?
*
Yes. It's self explanatory. Just click links in the email. Try RM50 (the non Christmas cards) if unsure.

Hi,
Are they ways to use this card to pay for Unify cost and get 6% rebate?

Thanks.
*
Most people paydirectly through TM Unifi website, or UOB Payonline. Both qualify for the 6%.

Note, a basic thread search would have given you this answer.

Do you try with other online card (CIMB CR, Yolo) and entitled for CB too?
*
CIMB CR and UOB Vox (I canceled when YOLO was introduced) confirm got CB.

And confirm CIMB CR no cross border charge for this, because local portal.

Today I loaded another 150 to my card via my mobile phone just before paying for my haircut.

You're probably right. Got nothing for Week 7 despite spending RM265 at about 2pm plus on Tuesday 15th at Dragon-i.

Note: Sorry for double post, didn't realise I was posting in same thread.

I got $10 cb for week 7 based on Monday and Tuesday spending. Didn't monitor on this one.

The one I'm waiting is for week 8 where I deliberately made an online purchase early Monday.
*
Yeh - I started taking it seriously from Week 9 onwards and doing lots of early morning Monday online purchases rather than relying on "normal" grocery and dining spending, which is hard to achieve early in the week.

still have few more quota from 2 supp cards to play around. since the promo ending Feb, i'm planning to overpay some future bills, each week from now on.

also to be careful not to overspend until monthly quota burst (est rm833 per month)
*
Good luck to you guys too.

I have 1 VS Principal + 6 VSvSupps + 1 WMC to play with, so got a lot of quota still. (i.e. RM5,831 for VS, and RM1,000 on dining and groceries for WMC). Need to use my VS online spend, because POS Online is down and can't pay AEON CC.

Will also be pre-paying bills, because didn't pay since the PREVIOUS PBB campaign (in July/August) haha.

Wow, congratulations rclxms.gif . That's cashback from just 1 PBB VS card?

My principal PBB VS only has RM1,800 cashback for 2016, but total combined for all PBB cards (i.e. 1 PBB VS Principal + 6 Supps + 1 PBB WMC) is RM3,200. Really appreciative of PBB's generous CB standard and promo cashback features.

Walk into pb branch to apply can get free gifts?
*
You should be elgiible for this:

https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Pr...ation.aspx#3177

And if supplementary cards:

https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Pr...Jug-Kettle.aspx

If you want to apply to branch, then just submit manually but follow acquisition promo terms. However, I always prefer to apply via e-mail. Fast and easy.

My own experience is 10 working days (roughly 2 to 3 weeks) from submission to receipt of card. This was for my principal VS and WMC. But I don't have experience applyiny manually and I don't think PB have dedicated card centre or those instant approval places.

Maube others can share their experiences.
