QUOTE(drbone @ Dec 1 2016, 07:43 AM) That's pretty generous. How long from approval of the supplementary card did you receive the gift or how long after activating the card and registering via your phone? If I remember correctly, You have to spend 300 within 60 days of approval. And the gift will be delivered 6-8 weeks after the end of qualifying period. For me, my supp spent on 16 September and we received the gift yesterday. PBB very good at honouring their promos, so I never worry.

QUOTE(ay@m @ Dec 5 2016, 12:48 AM) for the swipe cashback promotion...anyone can confirm if both principal and supp card swipe RM1000 each, then they will get RM50 each as well? or it is all accumulated under principal account? Because i noticed in the term and condition...only register under principal card holder via sms.... For promo cashback, principal + supp is combined. Only principal gets it.

Today super kiasu. Did my RM200 swipes before 10am (Lazada, Unifi and Starbucks online reload).
Then swiped another RM120 for lunch, but not sure if I can hit the next RM500 threshold by Tuesday.

QUOTE(ckweng @ Dec 5 2016, 02:28 PM) Same here. I spent my first RM200 today before 1pm. Aiming low to get RM10 per week Last week I also spent early during the Cyber Monday sales, BUT, today I got an e-mail from MPH Online saying 2 of my books out of stock and they will be refunding me. So that will bring me below the RM200 minimum spend for CB. Really unlucky!

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Dec 5 2016, 05:03 PM) anyone here swipe by Monday before and did not get the CB promo? i'm wondering if i should swipe today or not.... not for RM200, but RM1000... So far we've only got 5 weeks of history, and most forummers are Monday swipers, so no real data to analyse. Based on memory, I don't recall any Monday swipers saying they didn't get CB.

Random note. I made a massive rookie mistake on my PBB VS balance transfer and just wanted to highlight my error so that no one else gets into same problem.
My latest statement of 2 December showed a finance charge of RM130. I was so horrified because this was the second time I've ever seen a finance charge in my 12 years of using CC (the first was with Aeon, and due to late payment through Pos Online).
I checked back my payments and saw that my statement balance was 9800, due on 22 Nov. On 14 Nov I had a MBB balance transfer to settle 9600, and then some WMC cashback of 80 on 16 Nov. I also paid RM50 on 16 Nov. So total payments before statement date was 9730. My shortfall was only 70 bucks, but finance charge 130!!!
After calling CS, I found out it's because my next round of BT instalments (9000+) were posted one day after my Nov statement date - on 3 Nov. Because I didn't pay the full Nov statement balance, the finance charge was on the new BT instalments (equal to almost one month full interest). If I had paid in full, I would have no finance charge and just need to pay the BT instalments in statement dated 2 Dec (due 22 Dec).
My error of 70 cost me 130!!!
Anyway, since it was my first finance charge for all my PBB cards for many years, CS advised me to pay off the total Dec statement balance ASAP and they will request a waiver for me.
Fingers crossed. I feel quite stupid for making such a simple and costly mistake.

QUOTE(laymank @ Dec 5 2016, 09:37 PM) thank you for sharing.... I need to open my eyes big big to watch over my Aeon BT.... Normally Im ultra vigilant and monitor carefully. However this round I forgot that my Maybank BT only settled 9600 (because I wanted my instalments to be nice round numbers so used multiple of 12)... And ended up miscalculating. PBB CS was really really nice and sympathetic when she saw my payment pattern. Hope the waiver people will be equally understanding.

QUOTE(the99percent1 @ Dec 6 2016, 07:22 AM) Wow.. i didnt know one could get so stressed up over 60 ringgit.. Just skip starbucks for a few days can recover the loss d.. The whole point of my post is to highlight that a shortfall payment of only RM70 gave rise to a finance charge of RM130. I don't even know how you came up with a loss of RM60. It's an unnecessary loss of RM130, which would not have arisen if I had paid off the full RM9800 instead of RM9730. No one likes to see finance charges on their statements. Your logic of "just skip Starbucks a few days" flies in the face of the spirit of these forums. Most people are here to maximise CC returns (max cashback, avoid charges) and seek / give advice on related topics, even if the amounts are small. Maybe you're better off hanging out with the folks in Starbucks than these forums.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 6 2016, 08:09 AM) BT is still a valid service, subject to approval anyway banks are strict, but also have the escalation and resolution processes in place to handle these cases. each customer is different, and each has the potential to lose track of repayment (example above). well, just be mindful lo. or BT slightly above to make round figure. my experience, i BT lower amount to make round figure, but also keep track of each card's outstanding (<RM50) and clear it on due date. i scan thru all my cards' unbilled transaction on daily basis. just make it my habit to do so. AGREED. Which is what I normally do, and hence had this "surprise" finance charge after 12 years of heavy CC usage. I shared my story to highlight that mistakes can happen even to the more experienced users. And newbies should watch out, because the first time getting hit sucks .

QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 6 2016, 08:10 AM) Do u use any tools to keep track on your creditcards? Just Excel (Inc summary page of amounts due, statement dates, due dates, with individual sheets for each card). But I've got 26 cards to manage and was careless this round, as I've got serious pregnancy brain (baby due next month) and a little slower than usual. Cancelled quite a few cards in the past few weeks to tidy up finances before baby is born. Then I'll start reapplying and managing things better during maternity leave .

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Dec 6 2016, 08:25 AM) Hi... A bit confused here...you mentioned got BT 22nd November but later mentioned another BT 3 Nov? How this works ah? Statement date 2 Nov payable on 22 Nov (amounts included in this statement are BT instalments charged on 3 Oct). The next round of BT instalments hit unbilled transactions on 3 November (included in 2 Dec statement, due 22 Dec). For PBB, my subsequent BT instalments are always charged one day after statement date regardless of when I applied. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Dec 6 2016, 08:40 AM

Yesterday I received this n want to share with u: Awwww that message is so sweet and funny haha. Especially agree with the last statement. Am already an experienced mama, so not stressed. Anyway, apologies if my post took this thread off topic. My ultimate message was to monitor and use CC carefully and avoid being silly like me.

QUOTE(sysy @ Dec 6 2016, 08:41 AM) 26!!! salute how u manage to oversee 26 card, especially during pregnancy~~ I am sure the baby will somehow master the skill you manage your card although still in womb. QUOTE(DarReNz @ Dec 6 2016, 09:50 AM) wah u got 26 cards to monitor .... guess that's even more stress to those who own msian cc and overseas cc to monitor ..... enjoy your maternity leave soon Thanks everyone for your well wishes - much appreciated! Its not that hard, as been doing it for years, and includes many supp cards which I monitor for my younger siblings or parents. Apart from the 26, I've also got several overseas CCs (UK, France, Switzerland and Singapore) but only use them if absolutely no choice when I'm in those countries. My absolute favourite card of the moment is PBB VS. Have got 1 Principal + 6 Supps . So we should go back on topic to discussing PBB VS issues going forward.

QUOTE(harmonics3 @ Dec 6 2016, 08:21 PM) Thanks for your kind sharing. Is the MBB BT under the 0% 12 months with 3% fees waived? I saw my first MBB BT under the promotion had a 3% one time charge and GST. Hopefully I will get the charges credited back in 30 days as advertised. Yes it is . If you head over to the BT thread, lots of people there talking about the MBB BT. And yes, they've all reported waivers so far. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Dec 6 2016, 09:11 PM

QUOTE(noien @ Dec 6 2016, 10:16 PM) Erm From last I asked. Only 2 supp can have rm50cb. So Max Cb u can have is 50(main) and 100(2supp) Or did they changed something? As far as I'm aware, there has never been such a rule for 2 supps. All my supps have separate statement, and enjoy RM50 cashback each. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Dec 6 2016, 11:07 PM

QUOTE(harmonics3 @ Dec 11 2016, 05:40 PM) I am applying a supp. card using the form for my mom. Does the "mother's maiden name" in section 2 refers to my maternal grandmother or my mom herself? How about the telephone numbers and employment details, are they referring to mine or my mom's? a bit confused. All answers from your mums perspective, as if she's the applicant. Your details are limited to the principal holder details.
