I think CIMB like to send extra cards, even if you apply only for 1. I applied for CIMB CR, and they sent me 2 cards (CR + Petronas). I called them immediately and told them to cancel the Petronas card. I agree with the principle that should cancel cards that you won't use, to avoid having to manage them even if they don't have annual fees.

Maybe I will do that. Dunno throw where already since I didn't plan to activate. Need to give them a call.

Make it a habit, don't apply cards which you don't need and if you are forced to have it, then cancel it if you don' want it.

Well, I always emphasise to them, don't simply send cards which I don't need. So far, banks are still quite OK.

I was surprised to see they gave me a card that I didn't apply. Cause I thought they need signature and stuff Plus I thought since it's free for life and I didn't activate it so shouldn't be a problem therefore I didn't call to cancel. Now hearing from you guys I should really call and cancel it.

Ermm quick question - anybody tried Tesco Online with this card? Does it count as eligible?

From various sources, it seems that Tesco online only swipes the card upon delivery and is tagged with 'Groceries' MCC.

CIMB CR most probably would not have a chance for cashback. But you can try.

If it is groceries, CIMB CR may get 2% from groceries cash back.
So no harm trying, it is either 5% for online or 2% from groceries.

After all the hoohaa, I got my supplementary card via Poslaju but it is a mail drop type.

May I know how many days from supp card appear in CIMB Click until you received the supp card?
