bro.. this is city drive car my sis driving.. dont need such performance tires.. that why i ask for price range 250... any other recommendation?
*
This is the best value for money tires and it's only rm20 over your budget and maybe you can even try bargain a bit. It's UHP category tires yet the price is similar to lower category mid-range tires and the comfort and noise level can match or even beat those mid range tires. Any other cheaper will not be so good/big drop in performance for just a little difference in price (for example Toyo DRB, Goodeyar NCT5, BS Ecopia, Dunlop D05, Continental CC6, etc2.) so not really worth it.

bro.. as i mentioned.. i dont need such UHP tires.. dont need to hard sell it.. Rm20 X 4 is Rm80 and that klang valley price.. im not going to get that price in penang..

like when i change my ps4, in penang Rm380 for 205/50/16, in KL ppl can get Rm350... that the different..

Im looking for eco tires... a lady who drive in city and wont go beyond 120km/h thanks.
*
Hmm yeah outside Klang Valley will be much more expensive. Then probably just go with some that I mentioned above, maybe particularly the Dunlop D05 or Goodyear NCT5.

Just what I searched for also for Hankook but it seems like Kumho Ecsta PS31 is a better all-rounder from the reviews in various places.

195/55/R15 is on offer now in Sarawak. RM750/4 pieces instead of RM200.
*
Nope, PS31 is just barely entry level UHP and not that good. Which reviews do you read that say PS31 is better than V12E2??
Read this from Tirerack:
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDi...ay.jsp?ttid=217

Highlighted comments that shows this tire is not really UHP:
"Kumho's Ecsta PS31 fails to deliver on its Ultra High Performance Summer promise..."

thanks i check for ecopia ep300/dunlop d05... not a good fans for nct5(honda city ori tires which really bad)...

i dont see anyone recommend cc6 guess im not going to get cc6 within my budget...

thanks all sifu...
*
Can share why you feel the NCT5 is really bad?

CC6 is Continental's lowest model so not recommended coz poor grip performance typical of low end eco tires, should be even worse than NCT5.

Will consider CC6 because in lowyat alot recommend cc6..

lol wait until you have 2 pair on ur car.. nct5 really bad in term of aquaplane..

got my car and on the way driving to tires shop to change rims and tires, it was heavy rain and i drive 60km/h pass through suddenly my vsc light turn on..

changed 17 rims on v12, it serve me quite well for a year, downsized to 16 on ps4.. ps4 best tires im using so far..
*
CC6 IMHO is really not worth it because it's low end tires but comparatively the price is rather high (for such low category performance) due to the Continental brand. IMHO the Dunlop D05 should be your best bet.

Ah ya, NCT5 has rather shallow cuts for water which can be worn off rather quickly hence even though the tires maybe still have a lot more main tread life but the water cuts already almost gone so easier to aquaplane.

Yes, PS4 is the best now, if got budget then surely just go with PS4.

Anyone drives faster than 80kph with Michelin PS4 during heavy downpour at highways?

It’s raining quite a bit recently and I drove at about 80kph on my PS4 205/55ZR16. Felt that 80kph is the limit that I’m comfortable with, but seeing BMWs breeze by with 100+kph without breaking a sweat makes me sweat.

Is it my alignment if off or am I missing something or they just don’t feel anything hmm.gif
*
What car is yours? PS4 is supposed to be excellent in wet driving but everybody has different confidence level when driving so cannot really say something wrong with the car/tires.

QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Sep 13 2018, 09:55 AM)
Well, I'm still with my PS3. Even during rain I drive about 110 kph on the highway. I try not to go over the speed limit during rain.

So far no problems, even going through puddles on the road I never slow down.

That what I love of Michelin's Pilot Sports tyres.
*
Yes PS3 is well known for being excellent in aquaplaning resistance.

I love my PS4 too, gives a lot of confidence when I’m rushing to somewhere and just daily driving. Probably saved my ass a few times on emergency manoeuvres (there was once a freaking table on the highway at night).
Hope you won’t laugh, it’s a 26 y/o E220 W124, too good of a tire for this old car sweat.gif. Needs some love for the front suspension parts, ball joints, bushing and etc. Probably because my alignment is a bit off due to those worn parts, causing those tyres can’t perform like they should. Oh, btw, no traction’s control whatsoever, so I tend to be a little more mindful

A suspension refresh is coming very soon.
*
To the contrary I have great respect for people like you who try to use the best possible tires even on their old cars, showing their wisdom in recognizing how important tire grip is! I'd respect people like you a lot more than those who own expensive cars yet be a cheapskate using whatever cheap crap tires they can find. So two thumbs up for you! thumbup.gif

Anyway for your case also, if the suspension especially absorbers are already spoiled then the stability will be compromised and giving less confidence to the driver. Modern cars also have better grip with many sophisticated driver aids like TRC/VSC hence improves stability and confidence in driving, therefore cannot really compare or say that really something wrong with your car/tires too if you cannot follow their speeds. The fact that the PS4 already saved you a few times is testament to the wise choice that you've made! thumbsup.gif I wish there are more people like you on the road.

Have to agree, sometimes the rain so heavy that it pools on the road. Tread depth also makes a difference in wet, my friend is complaining about it not being as good as new with 4.5mm left on his PS4.
Thank you for the praise, but I don't think I deserve it  notworthy.gif , almost chose p3st on the price alone. I've seen way too many nice cars using l*nds*il tires, can't comment on how it performs but really odd to see, while many jap/local cars are using reputable brand tires (probably the price in their sizes shy them away from it). Shocks are still good, will see how it is after the suspension refresh and alignment.
...
*
Tread depth of course play a major factor in aquaplaning resistance so cannot compare new vs old tires as the aquaplaning resistance will degrade overtime.

Even with P3ST is still not so bad for your car (even though maybe not the best decision given the budget since you can opt for UHP tires at cheaper price like the Hankook V12E2). Yes I've also seen way too many expensive cars yet on crap tires, either for 2 reasons: they know but simply don't care coz they only care about showing off with their fancy cars and nobody will notice the shit tires they have, or they really don't know good vs crap tires hence just follow whatever the nearest shops throw at them which is still somewhat more understandable even though still rather foolish.

Bro, you have to be kept in check and I believe if not me someone will eventually.. you can’t just go around the world telling your point of view and if others don’t agree with the way you think you can’t just start calling them names.. that’s just being too arrogant. Yes the v12e2 is no doubt a great tyre for its price.. but you have to understand not everyone shares the same sentiments. And if they don’t agree just let it be. You did your part to share with them what you believe is the best RIGHT NOW. because tyres are a technology nonetheless and they like any other advancements will be superceded sooner or later. What’s gonna happen then? Just let everyone share their opinions without hassle that’s all I’m saying because as a healthy community we should allow the common sharing practice without being harassed for not sharing the same point of views as you. P.S no hard feelings peace

Did I call out anyone in particular and call them names in my post above??? If anyone is offended with what I said then it's their problem coz I know what I said above was true. I actually only reemphasize what the other forummer mentioned before me if you read above. I never said the V12E2 is the absolute best forever either and I always say 'at the moment, or as of now' or something along that line. If you've been reading some of my posts here, even when the FK510 released or about to reach here, I also already mentioned about this tire to be another excellent candidate, so I know tires will progress and there will be newer and better ones. Instead of calling names, didn't I also applaud the forummer above for using PS4 on his old car? I also never forced anyone to buy stuff of my suggestions anyway and I just gave my logical reasoning. It's up to them how they take what I said. If they can give better logical reasoning for their choices or views then fine by me too but if they cannot but they take it the wrong way then well that's their problem too. You need to read carefully what I said before trying to "keep me in check". So sorry bro I appreciate what you're trying to do but I think you misunderstood me so no thanks, I don't need that from you or anyone. icon_rolleyes.gif

It is a major step up from the poor mc5. Even when the mc6 is launched, continental only benchmark it with the poor mc5 only. Do not buy the praise from YouTubers who get this tyres foc, they for sure praise this model extensively.

The wet performance of this tire is a major no no. Dry is ok. For the 18" price, i rather top up for different brand/model than mc6 as I have rather get good grip during wet rain road.

Most owner had shared their review on most car club fb, mostly disappointed with wet performance

Better get Falken Azenis FK510.

Too small. Get 195/55/15 instead. Ps3 is an excellent choice but got much cheaper option which is just as good, Hankook V12E2.
