New cars definitely better FC than used ones of the same model. Btw, can't recall any diesel hybrids sold here through official distributors 🤔

If your friend has pengalaman looking for 2nd hand cars and maintaining them then more choices.

Else safer to stick to new sedans, baget 50K hanya ada tiga model - Saga, Bezza, Persona. Please ask him go test drive a few times with family/ passengers.

Some feedback from me, others might disagree

- can you increase your budget in the near future to get a better car? If so and can wait, then keep using your current Bezza if no major faults. The RV continue to be high even until 10 years old.

- your budget 50K does it include repairs, touchup if buy used car? I have a 2016 HR-V going into year 9 soon have set aside 5-6K. Also buying used car usually means taking over some problems fron current owner (hopefully not major accident or flood etc) so yoi need to get help to check very carefully if budget is tight.

- city drives (mostly alone?) can consider Ativa X 63K.
It is a JDM replica and well designed (exclude those over 5'10") with max torque coming in below 2000 rpm. Nippy acceleration in start stop city roads. 5 yr warranty peace of mind.

Not necessary to use two accounts here, we can feedback alternative options simultaneously.

If your driving style is sedate, then handling is not a priority where Bezza, Ativa, Vios, City won't have much difference.

Forte handling is also good enough, only concern is availability of a good Kia mechanic with reasonable pricing as its reliability isn't one of it's strongest point, reputation wise.

Had colleagues driving Forte, Optima, Spectra, Carens, Sportage, Sorento.. none of them gave good feedback on reliability and ownership experience except Picanto.

You can search Forte forums to check on common issues and rectification estimates.

Most of them sold it off.

Also, a colleague bought Sonata (hyundai) 2.4l only 100K on promotion. After 1 year issues keep popping up I had to listen to him for another year complaining, lastly drag him to UMW convince him trade in for Camry then peace & quiet next 10 years.

Outstanding loan > market value usually because take 7 or 9 year loan. That's why /K generally advice 1 year salary or max 5 year loan period.

It's a new HP agreement of 40K to replace the current one balance 20K. Whether the bank willing to do this depends on the Market Value of your current car. Cuba tanya bank.

Alternatively leave the current car alone and get a new loan for the new car for wife. If she can drive manual and traffic jam not too bad, /ktards are suggesting Axia E manual 22K in the other post

Still got 1-2 yr warranty means 3-4 yrs old for these SUV circa when new 150K? Yeah only those you listed above would < 100K cos the rest likely beyond yr budget like

If you can push the budget a bit over RM130K then can consider

HR-V turbo versions or wait for facelift Corolla Cross with EPB in a month or two.
