The GTX 1080Ti will definitely come out, it is not a question of if, it's a question of WHEN.

You buy your 1080 now, when 1080Ti comes out January-March 2017, you already got your money's worth using the 1080 for more than 6 months. By then you know if you're happy with the 1080 performance or if you need the 1080Ti. Or read the benchmark numbers and see if the 1080 is the one you need, otherwise wait for the 1080Ti. I cant imagine doing anything simpler than that!

You can always wait for your 1080Ti, but then you get worried again that 1180 will come out. When will your cycle end? Get what you need now and be happy with it. People who wait end up with no graphics card in hand because they are worried there's always something better on the horizon, and there are always is.

and what exactly will you be getting? for 1080p and 1440p, you can already play at ultra settings with the current 1080. Heck the 1070 might also be good enough as well. Only remaining issue is ultra 4k playable fps, which 1080 is kinda close to reaching that goal.

1080ti would be awesome if we could get it for the same price as what 1080 was, but i doubt thats gonna happen, so why wait? unless your gaming on 4k with a 4k resolution screen    (then obviously the 1080ti would make more sense waiting for).

1. Sites that "leaked" hyped things up
2. People go buy their reports

People should learn by now - whatever the brand presents, DO NOT ACCEPT IT!

First thing I did when AMD presented their stuff was to question rather than accept. I do the same for others too. Every brand will use the BEST benchmark to generate an idea (usually that's greater) than what they can deliver, for some reason I don't know why.

For me it's simple, what they present is fine, just take what is presented and expect LESS from it. That's why even before I received the card I already predicted R9 390 / GTX 970 performance.

It's only logical, the price so low and you expect it to beat GTX 980? That'll kill everything, even their own products.

Times are hard but also times r changing, my dad age 5k can buy a brand new car now 5k can buy wut....? Accept it and move on as I mentioned Seoul cost of living jump 2.5x in 10 yrs too.
