Why censor the price?

I upgrade from AMD HD6850 to Palit Jetstream GTX1070. Sensed the overkill on my 1680x1050 monitor while playing DOOM. It's time for 1440p-Gsync monitor upgrade.
The Palit is one heavy card. I can see a bit of card sag, which I then fix by pulling the PCIe power cable upwards (supported via cable tie, hooked to my ODD drive bay). The heatsink is beefy & fans are quiet (with or without card makes no difference in my system noise). The card takes about 3 pci slots. I'm not sure if SLI is possible as the gap between card is too small.

For those who wonder about the default color of the side trim illumination, it's green.

I'm actually surprised how quiet the fan is too, even at 100%. Compared to my 280x vapor-x which sounds like a friggin blender at 70%, this was a huge difference.

As for the card sag, I was thinking of using lego bricks stacked from the bottom to hold it up rclxms.gif

I've heard stories of graphical problems due to sagging cards. Better be safe than sorry. Maybe it's just me who is picky with it.

May I know what idle and load temps you're getting with the GTX 1070 Jetstream?

Oh well the price difference between these 2 cards are pretty big TBH.

Don't care about money - Asus Strix

Save money while staying with "premium" brand - Gigabyte G1
