Try flashing 7.1.7.0. Newer versions will have problem flashing if you're talking about global rom.

I bought 2 ap set, I consider it easy to flash into global rom. You can find the step in miui forum.

Are you using miflash on windows 10?
Maybe you can try switching to a different pc with w7 64bit instead, that's what I did when miflash got weird error on w10

Try using the latest miflash from the link below and try again.

http://en.miui.com/thread-281979-1-1.html

If still cannot then have to try at other pc.

Imported version sometimes contains China rom, but it if has global rom, then the only difference is the warranty, for peace of mind better buy the local version.

I see. Thanks for the input. Another question. Does the phone support quick charge? How about Marshmallow update?

Technically the chipset supports qc3.0, however xiaomi didn't include the hardware for it. Official mm still not released yet, i think had some fingerprint issues. But there's already custom mm roms out there

the price diff shud be around 120-130 in gemfive. i consider it as buying a Rm10/month waranty service from xiaomi MY for the ease of mind.

Hello

Thank you very much, this actually works!

Someone should put this in front page at FAQ section on bricking your phone

After flashing to 7.1.7.0 the updater inside MI managed to download and install the latest one which is 7.3 something

Thanksss

Appreciate it my friend, may god bless you

Just want to ask how bad is AP warranty?
Anybody experience with faulty AP Xiaomi phone send to retailer for warranty?
I never buy an AP set, but now want to try some risk.

I know original unit is peace of mind, but currently only AP set is widely available for this Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
Current cheapest place to buy original set is at Lazada with credit card discount, GemFive ori set after discount is not much cheaper.

I know phone not easily to get broken, but just in case it happen.

My target is consider the yet to be launch original Mi Max if original Redmi Note 3 Pro really hard to get with cheaper price. But, I think Mi Max would be also very quickly out of stock on pre-order, or sales time.

If you're looking for peace of mind. Huawei had better after sales service. Don't even consider Xiaomi

It supports qc1.0, takes about 2.5 hours to charge from 0 to full, given the size of the battery, it's fast.
