I accidently relocked my device when I tried to go back to xiaomi rom from marshmallow customs ones.
For some reason, the fingerprint scanner is not there/security settings keep crashing Anyone mind sharing your success flashing marshmallow rom with fingerprint scanner/security settings working nicely? |

QUOTE(marxmannn @ Jul 1 2016, 03:16 PM) One way to root is flashing supersu with custom recovery like twrpTo flash twrp, you'll need to unlock your bootloader There's the official unlock method where you need to request for unlock which usually gets approved less than 10 days You'll be able to get root access(in security app) once your bootloader is unlocked Another is unofficial method which can be done immediately http://en.miui.com/thread-253680-1-1.html Only drawback is that you can't flash xiaomi roms (official or xiaomi.eu) using twrp. Otherwise the phone probably won't start and your bootloader gets locked again. So only use fastboot/edl method to flash xiaomi roms back. QUOTE(soyabean123 @ Jul 1 2016, 07:25 PM) Dear all, i bought my Redmi Note 3 from AZMMOBILE from GemFive. If it's official update there shouldn't be any off those apps, unless it's still vendor romIt is MIUI Global 7.3. But, still there are apps like WiFi Master, UC Mini, CM Security, Cool Gallery, BeautyPlus and etc... unwanted apps. After uninstall, restart these apps still come back. Can anyone advice what can i do? Best way is to use miflash and flash global rom for rm3 pro I'd recommend to backup any important stuff (whatsapp chat/sms/pictures) before flashing it Apparently there's no flash script to only wipe the phone excluding internal storage |

QUOTE(sagethesausage @ Jul 2 2016, 12:52 AM) Best cm13 rom, with fingerprint working. Definitely good enough to use as a daily driver. Ok, what if you're going back to miui roms [url=[/url] Do you still flash using twrp or use miflash? I tried with twrp, my phone couldn't start after that and bootloader got relocked. |

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Jul 3 2016, 04:51 PM) did u face any challenges when flashing to cm13 which is based on Android MM and then flashing back to MIUI8 which is still on Android LL? Only problem i had was fingerprint option not showing up in the settings. Apparently have to flash cm13 modem file to get it workingheard that IMEI/MAC etc might get wiped off But i did backup efs just in case Use miflash to flash back to miui8 (LL based). I tried flashing back using twrp, and almost bricked my device and bootloader got locked. Good thing I can still go to edl mode on fastboot. |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jul 7 2016, 09:46 PM) If you ordered on your account, you save that 8%. Local Shipping fee are only applied if you want door to door shipping. Collect parcel at collection point saves you the local shipping fees. On my account own ezbuy account? So you can actually skip the 8% agent fee? I thought it's standard fee for anything you buy using ezbuy servicehttps://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...d=3122572664773 I bought 6 pieces of Tempered glass from this store and so far I'm very satisfied with the quality. Not so keen on self collect since I don't live in KL |

QUOTE(clieman @ Jul 8 2016, 10:00 AM) I unlocked my RN3 after flashing to China MIUI8 then use fastboot to flash TWRP. Did you go to recovery mode using the updater option? However after rebooting the device, it go back to MIUI recovery (phone picture with a USB cable connection). How to install TWRP properly to flash CM13? Or did you use the volume down + power button combo? |

QUOTE(clieman @ Jul 8 2016, 11:55 AM) Ok I managed to go to TWRP. I have to boot straight to recovery image from fastboot. Which TWRP version did you flash? I used alka's twrp, no weird errors so farChina MIUI8 ROM will replace recovery image with stock every reboot. However once I tried to flash CM13 from TWRP, I got Error 7 pulak... I think I didn't wipe data. But I need my phone for the time being. Will try again over the weekend. |
