i think the best way to put it is everyone has their own pace,no two people has the same pace. like for my case when i started appearing in this thread most people thought i was insane to jump through many loopholes before being serious but i already laid out a solid plan and intend to keep to it as per how i did things during my earlier school days although im still studying  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

all in all if you think you can keep up with your own rhythm go wild other wise its best to keep your feet off the gas and slow down  smile.gif  smile.gif

Im sure PADi who is "more pro" than all of us combine knows better if AOW required more dives experience before it can be taken up, they would have done so..

If I'm not mistaken. It is minimum 40 logged dives for dive master course.

Highly doubt Padi standards is min 50 for AOW.

Some instructors I know do implement their own min logged dives for rescue course. Some dive sites are generally more challenging and naturally require more experience even for leisure divers, e.g. Komodo, Sophie wreck at Weh, magnet at Lombok and so on.

One is required to have min 60 dives at the end of the DM course to be certified a DM.
Rescue diver is 40.

But honestly what would one know when you clock 40 dives?

isnt this the lady who refused help and oddly enough ripped her mask out out of the blue after accidentally coughing her regulator out?

She panic that's why ripped her mask out..

I had a similar experience when I first time go into the training swimming pool.
My BCD wasn't fully inflated when I went in and I sank to the bottom.. and panic since still not used to breathing through regulator..
The instructor didn't see me for a while since there were other students while I am stuck at the bottom and no matter how I kick also can't go up since the weights are pulling down..
When panic and no experience, will not remember anything...
Damn scary.. thought gonna die in a swimming pool.

When a diver panics, such cases are not uncommon. You'll learn this during your rescue diver course. They also will rip your mask and regulator off your face and push you further into the water most of the time.
